Review: Ok, I 've been slacking in the zine review department and the Septi-Gore staff managed to put out 3 new issues in meantime!!! I guess I'll just review them all at once... So this zine is still going really strong, this is pretty amazing work, again I'll say I've rarely seen someone so dedicated to put out new issues so quickly as Erik... The style of the zine is very blunt/no bullshit, raw, crude, offensive and explicit, but it gets the job done, it focuses on goregrind, noise and brutal death and that's it. A4 pages stapled together but it all looks quite good. Here's a quick rundown on all three of these fine issues:
Issue 5: First thing about these latest issues is that they seem to contain alot more cool underground artwork than before, some pretty cool looking stuff in there! As usual, Erik seeks out only the most obscure gore bands out there and you'll find interviews with sick and obscure acts such as Posthuman Worm, Amnotic Fluid Fountain, Viscera, Splatterwhore, etc, etc... The great thing is also that Septi-Gore continues to focus on gore flicks as well, with a few film reviews and a cool interview with director Fred Vogel (Toetag Pictures/August Underground)
Issue 6: This one comes with a rad new logo, I think I like this one even better than the regular one... Interviewees are Scumfuck, Embalming Theatre, Abyss, Presenile Dementia Records & Necrotampon... Plus the usual Audio-Gore-Views...
Issue 7: This sickening tome is as solid as ever... Pulmonary Fibrosis, RHPP, Hipermenorrea, Anally Aborted Fetus, Urethra Records, Disembowelment get interviewed and there's tons more to read... I don't know if there's a yearly subscription option for this zine, but I'm sure you'd be guaranteed to get cool new issues all the time, Septi-Gore totally delivers!
