Ulcerrhoea
Review: Ulcerrhoea
is tighter than ever on this tape, I think this is the
best stuff I've heard from this act, whatever band name
their material was released under before, Cadaverous
Suppuration or Carnal Shroud... I think they're totally
Agathocles-like on this one, a bit mince-core. The sound
is incredibly powerful, with a very sharp drum sound,
between total grindcore blasts and more crust-grind
rythms. Guitar riffs are totally Agathocles, basic and
simple. Like the vocals, they have a fantastic raw vibe,
with quite low roars, a bunch of gore gore vocal effects
and a few insane screaming here and there. It's ultra-powerful
intense grindcore, but clearly under control. It's just
the kind of stuff that over-excite me, my exact favourite
kind of grind. Just think Agathocles on the most kick-ass
tracks of "Razor Sharp Daggers" (meaning
without the crusty boring stuff in between). It's also
funny to see Ulcerrhoea got the Malignant Tumour syndrome...
A band with quite a gory name writing about subjects
crust bands or Agathocles usually deal with... That's ok
with me, that's early Napalm Death & Agathocles that
started my passion for noise! I'm not sure I care about
lyrics anymore though, gore or social I heard this times
and times again... The important thing is that their
noise is freaking awesome! Tracks: 1)Incorporate 2)Media excrement 3)Senseless illusion 4)Apathic 5)The truth in demise 6)Standard emptiness |
| Pulmonary Fibrosis Review: Terrific GoreGrind from France.
They didn't change alot since the demo "Songs
of pathological experience" where I first heard from them. I
guess I like em alot, even more now with this great Split.
Their stuff is very raw and noisy, think Last Days of
Humanity and maybe Anal Birth as well. The vocals are
especially impressive, the effects they use are totally
inhuman and gore: I love it! They play their GoreGrind
really chaotic, noisy, raw and grindy. That's just
awesome, I'm out of words... Tracks: 1)Tissues colony (intro) 2)Vaginal suppuration 3)Rancid excrement of purulent rectum 4)Schizophrenia and purulenta 5)Pulmonis infection 6)Disgorgement of griding entrails 7)Purulenta and schizophrenia 8)Fuck off nazi bastards (Malignant Tumour cover) |

| ULCERRHOEA "Start to infest" Release date: 2000 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Review: Ulcerrhoea, formerly known as
CARNAL SHROUD, (Yes I prefer Ulcerrhoea too) is one of
Germany's best goregrind acts. On this tape, they have
some kind of mincecore sound (Agathocles, Malignant
Tumour)... Not for the lyrics, but for the sharp, fast,
pounding drums and for the short, tight song structures...
Vocals are usual totally degenerated growls and screamy
roars, soaking in pool of splattery effects. Compositions
are very well thought-out, catchy and the sound is
powerful... Everything ends in apotheosis with a Dead
Infection "Maggots in your flesh" cover.
Goregrinders who miss that tape are fucking losers! Out
on the cult (at least for me) little label Putrid Nausea.

| UNHOLY GRAVE/DESECRATOR "Extreme terrorism" (Necrophil Productions) Release date: 1999 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Unholy
Grave Review: Japanese most intense grindcore band is
filling the first side of this split tape with some
interesting rehearsal and live recordings... but live or
studio, Unholy Grave is always so exciting and insane!
With piercing raw guitars, sharp/fast drumming, and most
likely, killcraze furious vocals, husky growls and
hysterical high pitched screams. A very unique band who
always keep its very unique headstrong raw sound up! The
sound on rehearsal tracks is slighly better than on the
live material, none are as good as on Unholy Grave cds...
but it's really enjoyable! Play it fucking loud!
Everything is from 97/98...Tracks: 1)Morbid reality 2)Buried terror 3)Mental disease 4)Inhuman sexual slavery 5)No racial superiority 6)Disgusting mines 7)Confession 8)Your heroes our terrorists 9)Seeds of evil 10)Terrorism sucks - part 2 - 11)Deceived nation 12)C'est du cinéma 13)Another lie 14)Annoying test 15)Threatened culture 16)Kim after Kim |
| Desecrator Review: Holy shit! I'm so positively
impressed, and even blown away by Desecrator new material!
It's bestial grind of the dirtiest kind! They got far
better than on the first demo! (note that they re-recorded
some songs from the first demo too) The main improvement
is the great work on drums: very capable and skilful
blasts and fast catchy beatings... As well, this is the
cool sound production, which is perfect to me, for
grindcore music of course... The guitars are not too
thrashy and vivid, but more like a low tuned, raw and
heavy background sound, very aquedat for hypnotic
pounding grindcore style. I'd maybe even come to say it's
gore-grind, because songs are only composed of blasting
parts, there are only the necessary, exciting grindy
parts! Only brutal blasting plans... But they do not use
any vocal effects! Just naturally ultraguttural brutal
growls (plus some backing screamy vox at times) so some
may say it's grind-death... They keep it short and
intense, so they're never boring, just always catchy. I'd
compare them to a mixture of Dead infection on "A
chapter of accidents", Sublime Cadaveric
Decomposition at their best and Rotting Flesh(Brazil)...
Get the picture? Well, they although have their own
Desecrator sound, I can't describe it really, but I'm
certain I would recognize them anytime! The imperturbable
growling vocals, the guitars cutting through ears and the
way drums are blasting out are very personal! |
