SCURVY Demo 1' 2000

Release date: 2000

Review: Oh. This is nice. Really. Kind of brutal death mixed with some good groovy grind. This stuff is really tight, intense and heavy, with quite a powerful sound production.. Obviously these guys are good musician. Remind me of Deranged, for all the growling vocals, solid guitar riffing and powerful drums. Some other aspects like backing weird manic screams, double bass drums and thrashing guitars also sounds like Macabre (on "Sinister slaughter"). I guess this is an interesting demo. Not very original, but not boring at all. With cool intro and outro. The cover design is usual nasty DIY stuff, but you'll find all the lyrics (rather horror influenced) inside, that's cool! Those guys come from Sweden. And yeah, last funny thing, they dedicate this demotape to... Charles Bronson! (???)

Tracks: 1)Forklift massacre 2)Grandpa reaper 3)(In) Sideburns 4)Deathwish

SQUASH BOWELS/INFECTED PUSSY Split Tape

Squash Bowels Review:
I never miss the tapes from necrophil production coz they are alwais great. This one is his first release so that 's CULT ! S.B. are the polish gods of Gore (with Dead Infection, of course) so expect some fucking putrid songs filled with puke and gastric juice. Raaahhh!! That 's so lovely ! Vocals are regurgitating some filthy rotten flesh , while guitars are slaughtering and grinding your brain. This is really sick GORE, GORE, GORE!!
Infected Pussy Review:
Yeah ! the french noise grinders are at their best on this tape, but only for the french speaking because the interludes are taken from commercials, and they are alwais very funny and stupid. Song are very short, crazy, & talentless. But It 's a pure anti-musical pleasure! You can only love it or hate it!
Note: 4/5 (for the state of mind but sorry, for french only !)

SQUASH BOWELS "Dead?!"

Review:
Great release from this polish band who comes from the same town as Dead Infection... It's total grind-gore assault! Vocals are insane, with crazy gory effects, growls or morbid screams... Sound is good... Also many touching classical music introductions... sick sick sick artwork (collage of porn, splatter and birth pictures!) and I think it's one of their first demo... Band's best material so far... in my mind! maybe still available by the band (?!!!) but I don't know! I got my copy directly by the band, after being totally impressed by their great live performance!

Tracks:  1)Noise product 2)Surge assurance 3)A suspect 4)New standards 5)More our colours 6)Medical exibition 7)Logopedic formalism 8)Stumpers 9)The grindcore spondent 10)Soundmind

SQUASH BOWELS "Live 1995"

(BIMI002 Bloodbath Records)
Release date: 1995

Review:
Here is a Squash Bowels live tape, limited to 200 copies(my copy is no. 189!). Maybe you already know this Polish band... They are into fast grindcore, mainly ultrafast, but also with intense midtempos... Vocals are straightforwardly deranged, even if they do not use harmonizer on live! Anyway; vocals are still totally extreme, moaning, growling or frankly screaming... Guitars and drums sound brutal as hell, and sound is very good for a live recording! This tape worths the listening! Really! Includes a cool, gory introduction and a Napalm Death cover version in the end... Intense and brilliant, just maybe a little short.

Tracks:  1)Intro 2)Noise product 3)The grind co-respondent 4)Logopedic formalism 5)Soundmind 6)The mass sickening 7)Human accelaration 8)Right to live 9)Multinational corporation(Napalm Death)

S.M.E.S. "I don't give..."

Release date: 1996

Review:
S.M.E.S. is a little disconcerting, but real' funny and disgusting. Another band (seemingly one-piece project) into very singular bad taste cyber-grindgore style... Something sounding really weird and strange, with a totally computerized sound on guitars and drum beats. You know Libido Airbag, Meat Paunch Mafia, old Running Guts or Terrible Noise Shit? So you get the picture! Tons of samples, silly video game sounds, bizarre sonorities drowned in a rather grindy computerized toilet flush-style pseudogrindcore; with a totally insane gore feel, thanks to the harmonized gurgling effects on vocals. Song structures are really worked out, with lots of humour and original sounds; a huge load of blasts and rushing fast parts, but also some midtempos. It's catchy in GUT's way: basic, short and simple. It's nice to listen, if you're into this kind of funny stuff. The sound quality is very good and it takes the entire 30 minutes side of the tape; I won't say it's a masterpiece of art, but it's a decent demo. Must definitely be open-minded to appreciate it though. If you're into the bands I named in this review, you should enjoy S.M.E.S. without any trouble. Die-hard grind freaks E-mail or snail-mail Erwin when you have some time!

Tracks:  1)Save mother, kill eachother 2)Pet of the week 3)I don't give a fuck 4)Harry palms 5)Nothing personal 6)Strobokill 7)Pukerefaction 8)Bananal juice 9)Tirano raurus sex 10)Nevermind 11)Dopprop 12)Tiroler hills 13)Petpulp

STRESS RELATED "Fucking musical destruction"

(Tasteless Shit Records)
Release date: 1999

Review:
Stress Related is about real fine grindcore. Songs work very well, and sound quality is good. There's the same 'do it yourself' feel of other 180° grind acts (Cadaverous Suppuration, Carnal Shroud/Ulcerrhoea). 180° always bring this same feel to his works of art, and well, I enjoy it alot. More precisely, it's grindcore between speedy demented blasts and midtempo, with raw and basic guitar riffs, but very clear song structures. All the tracks are very very short too. Vocals are only screamy and manic, without any gore effects. Except for the bonus tracks which are completely different, certainly not recorded the same time; all computer, totally cheezy grindcore (some of the funniest grind shit I evr heard, instruments sound like coming from a stupid japanese cartoon or shit) in Meat Paunch Mafia, Terrible Noise Shit or Libido Airbag vein... this time with totally gory vocals effects and cover versions of Impetigo "Boneyard" & one Gut song. It seems that 180° allowed himself to include fun/rock n' roll parts, in contrary of his other projects. All in all this tape contains 25 songs + a shitload of damn excellent funny bonus tracks (the bonus song list isn't included). A totally DIY spirit... (The bonus are must-hear for amateurs of original cyber-fun-goregrind) I said everything to know about it, feel free to get it or not, from Tasteless Shit.........

SUBLIME CADAVERIC DECOMPOSITION/INFECTED PUSSY Split Tape

(NecroPhil)
Release date: 1998

Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition Review:
It's been a very long time I didn't listen to a french band, playing such brutal and sick shit... S.C.D. is into grind/gore. Fast, insane, with growling(gurgling) & crazy screaming vocals(no harmonizer), drums in Dead Infection way, non-technical, just straightforward guitars... It reminds me Squash Bowels sometimes, and early Napalm Death too... This side consists in 5 studio songs and 9 live tracks... Sound production is not perfect, but good enough to fully enjoy it. Live songs have a little badder sound, but you can clearly hear the extreme vocals & blasting drums... (S.C.D. is godly on stage!). Sick sick sick full colour great inside artwork. (the famous and deranged front cover is a man fucking a gutted girl...)
Tracks:
  1)Nécropédozoophilien 2)Scatogorophage 3)Scrotum rules 4)Female sphincter dilation 5)Emmoroïdal meat + Live from POINT BREAK, Paris 13/04/1997: 6)Scrotum rules 7)Emmoroïdal meat 8)Female sphincter dilation 9)Dead dick 10)Stomach masturbation 11)Penis autodissection 12)grinding oesophage ejaculation 13)Siprinose addiction 14)Scatogorophage

Infected Pussy Review: Infected Pussy is also a french band, into good noise/grindcore a la ANAL CUNT! But still too many shitty intro samples, which all come from a same french somewhat documentary apparently about inquisition... very annoying! Funny SoftPorn' colour cover(some girls showing their tits, pussy & ass..), totally stupid song titles... One of the most stupid band on earth! Check the track titles! Not really politically correct shit! Avoid it if your a serious person!

THE KILL Tape

  Release date: 2001

Review: First good point: the cover picture from Evil Dead... Second, it's everything I love to hear... intense grindcore, nothing else than just pure grind, basic tight songs, relentlessly suprafast drums (it is indeed really fast and tight), downright heavy and raw guitar non-sense, hysterical squealing, catchy sound and just freaking ecstatic grindcore chemistry. The tape's over too fast but it's worth playing lots and lots of time again in a row. Really killer band from Australia! You might call that powerviolence or whatever, it sounds alot like Drop Dead (US) & Retaliation (Sweden), vocals are only straightforward screams, no growls or anything... But it also reminded of the faster side of stuffs like early Napalm Death, Hemdale and Assück... Appears to be a very limited tape, highly recommended!
Tracks: 1)This one hurts 2)We want blood 3)The clash 4)Junkies records 5)Fasion victim 6)Lets be fast 7)Techno head 8)Media loves misery 9)Stupid pants 10)Extreme wankers

TRAUMA TEAM "Planet gore" self-titled demo

  Release date: 2001

Many introductions, poor sound quality, uninspired cyber-death-grind, crappy drum machine(sounds very bad! unless it's sometime ultrafast), the only instrument played hear is bass... So it sounds very bad too; Except the intros, nothing really sick here... Only very boring grind... A band picture where members are masked and look like extremists or something stupid like that... No humour, no true gory sickness, nothing really catchy... Sorry but I can't totally recommend this tape! There's although a colour cover, but anyway logo and pictures are nothing sick... Song titles are stupid too! (I recognized some intro samples from the movie Bad Lieutnant.). They have another demo out! I hope it's better than this one! Sounds like Catasexual Urge Motivation in a cheaper version... Anyway, I know some extreme goregrinders who liked it, so if you really wanna get it write to: PSYCHO-SADOSLASHER / KORENBLOEMLAAN 7 / 2343 V.A. OEGSTGEEST / HOLLAND

Here is a much better tape! From this czech GRINDCORE band! They are called Twisted Truth, they have this demo out, with a cool glossy cover(in black & white) and a lyrics sheet( in english + a czech translation).... It's fast, blasting, catchy, churning grindcore with low and high pitched vocals and everything to make it sound grindcory! With a pro sound too! Very nice to listen! If you're looking for pure grindcore with cool sound production, write to: TWISTED TRUTH c/o Petr SVANCARA / Slunecni udoli 274 / 569 02 Brezova nad Svitavou / CZECH REPUBLIC . ULCERRHOEA/PULMONARY FIBROSIS Split Ep (Tape)

  (Putrid Nausea Productions)
Release date: 2001

Ulcerrhoea Review: Ulcerrhoea is tighter than ever on this tape, I think this is the best stuff I've heard from this act, whatever band name their material was released under before, Cadaverous Suppuration or Carnal Shroud... I think they're totally Agathocles-like on this one, a bit mince-core. The sound is incredibly powerful, with a very sharp drum sound, between total grindcore blasts and more crust-grind rythms. Guitar riffs are totally Agathocles, basic and simple. Like the vocals, they have a fantastic raw vibe, with quite low roars, a bunch of gore gore vocal effects and a few insane screaming here and there. It's ultra-powerful intense grindcore, but clearly under control. It's just the kind of stuff that over-excite me, my exact favourite kind of grind. Just think Agathocles on the most kick-ass tracks of "Razor Sharp Daggers" (meaning without the crusty boring stuff in between). It's also funny to see Ulcerrhoea got the Malignant Tumour syndrome... A band with quite a gory name writing about subjects crust bands or Agathocles usually deal with... That's ok with me, that's early Napalm Death & Agathocles that started my passion for noise! I'm not sure I care about lyrics anymore though, gore or social I heard this times and times again... The important thing is that their noise is freaking awesome!
Tracks: 1)Incorporate 2)Media excrement 3)Senseless illusion 4)Apathic 5)The truth in demise 6)Standard emptiness

Pulmonary Fibrosis Review: Terrific GoreGrind from France. They didn't change alot since the demo "Songs of pathological experience" where I first heard from them. I guess I like em alot, even more now with this great Split. Their stuff is very raw and noisy, think Last Days of Humanity and maybe Anal Birth as well. The vocals are especially impressive, the effects they use are totally inhuman and gore: I love it! They play their GoreGrind really chaotic, noisy, raw and grindy. That's just awesome, I'm out of words...
Tracks: 1)Tissues colony (intro) 2)Vaginal suppuration 3)Rancid excrement of purulent rectum 4)Schizophrenia and purulenta 5)Pulmonis infection 6)Disgorgement of griding entrails 7)Purulenta and schizophrenia 8)Fuck off nazi bastards (Malignant Tumour cover)

ULCERRHOEA "Start to Infest"

Release date: 2000

Review:
Ulcerrhoea, formerly known as CARNAL SHROUD, (Yes I prefer Ulcerrhoea too) is one of Germany's best goregrind acts. On this tape, they have some kind of mincecore sound (Agathocles, Malignant Tumour)... Not for the lyrics, but for the sharp, fast, pounding drums and for the short, tight song structures... Vocals are usual totally degenerated growls and screamy roars, soaking in pool of splattery effects. Compositions are very well thought-out, catchy and the sound is powerful... Everything ends in apotheosis with a Dead Infection "Maggots in your flesh" cover. Goregrinders who miss that tape are fucking losers! Out on the cult (at least for me) little label Putrid Nausea.

Tracks: 1)Start to infest (intro) 2)Corroding withered cadavers 3)Foetal limbs dissemized 4)Exposing purulent entrails 5)Grinding commercial bastards 6)Myofied and bloated 7)Permeated by maggots 8)Embryonal vomit 9)Bring down their throne 10)Fuck off nazi bastards 11)Maggots in your flesh

UNHOLY GRAVE/DESECRATOR "Extreme terrorism"

(Necrophil Productions)
Release date: 1999

Unholy Grave Review:
Japanese most intense grindcore band is filling the first side of this split tape with some interesting rehearsal and live recordings... but live or studio, Unholy Grave is always so exciting and insane! With piercing raw guitars, sharp/fast drumming, and most likely, killcraze furious vocals, husky growls and hysterical high pitched screams. A very unique band who always keep its very unique headstrong raw sound up! The sound on rehearsal tracks is slighly better than on the live material, none are as good as on Unholy Grave cds... but it's really enjoyable! Play it fucking loud! Everything is from 97/98...
Tracks: 1)Morbid reality 2)Buried terror 3)Mental disease 4)Inhuman sexual slavery 5)No racial superiority 6)Disgusting mines 7)Confession 8)Your heroes our terrorists 9)Seeds of evil 10)Terrorism sucks - part 2 - 11)Deceived nation 12)C'est du cinéma 13)Another lie 14)Annoying test 15)Threatened culture 16)Kim after Kim

Desecrator Review: Holy shit! I'm so positively impressed, and even blown away by Desecrator new material! It's bestial grind of the dirtiest kind! They got far better than on the first demo! (note that they re-recorded some songs from the first demo too) The main improvement is the great work on drums: very capable and skilful blasts and fast catchy beatings... As well, this is the cool sound production, which is perfect to me, for grindcore music of course... The guitars are not too thrashy and vivid, but more like a low tuned, raw and heavy background sound, very aquedat for hypnotic pounding grindcore style. I'd maybe even come to say it's gore-grind, because songs are only composed of blasting parts, there are only the necessary, exciting grindy parts! Only brutal blasting plans... But they do not use any vocal effects! Just naturally ultraguttural brutal growls (plus some backing screamy vox at times) so some may say it's grind-death... They keep it short and intense, so they're never boring, just always catchy. I'd compare them to a mixture of Dead infection on "A chapter of accidents", Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition at their best and Rotting Flesh(Brazil)... Get the picture? Well, they although have their own Desecrator sound, I can't describe it really, but I'm certain I would recognize them anytime! The imperturbable growling vocals, the guitars cutting through ears and the way drums are blasting out are very personal!
Tracks: 1)Clito buster 2)Multitentacular oppression 3)P.P.E (Spice duster mix) 4)Post-natal degeneration 5)Headless corpse 6)Permanent diarrhoea 7)Post-natal generation 8)Headless corpse 9)Multitencular oppression 10)Permanent diarrhoea 11)Kleeto buster 12)P.P.E 13)The age of apocalypse 14)Scatovarius 15)Without title #1 16)Without title #2
