good point: the cover picture from Evil Dead... Second, it's everything
I love to hear... intense grindcore, nothing else than just pure grind,
basic tight songs, relentlessly suprafast drums (it is indeed really
fast and tight), downright heavy and raw guitar non-sense, hysterical
squealing, catchy sound and just freaking ecstatic grindcore chemistry.
The tape's over too fast but it's worth playing lots and lots of time
again in a row. Really killer band from Australia! You might call
that powerviolence or whatever, it sounds alot like Drop Dead (US)
& Retaliation (Sweden), vocals are only straightforward screams,
no growls or anything... But it also reminded of the faster side of
stuffs like early Napalm Death, Hemdale and Assück... Appears
to be a very limited tape, highly recommended!

KATALEPSY Promo Tape |

  Grind from
Bolivia! It's the first bolivian band I hear ever, and it's quite
good. The drums appear to be programmed, guitar are thrashy and quite
heavy with alot of bass and vocals are mostly low growls... The tape
contains 3 quite good and catchy grindy original songs, I'd say it's
close to czech death/grind bands like Ingrowing and Fleshless, lots
of blasting and heaviness. The rest is cover versions of other bands.
These covers are quite neat, the stuff is always really close to the
original, they adapt their style to the bands'... sounds real good.
That's about it, the sound is not perfect but it's clear and heavy,
the band's just doing real good stuff...

 Wow! this is amazing
stuff we 've got here : it could
be defined as Tekno Grindcore!! Imagine
crazy tekno gabber mixed with insane grind? the result is pure RAGE
& FURY! Grinding guitars, techno beats, crazy high-pitched distorted
vocals and movie samples are the elements for this sonic assault!(can
be compared as the grind version of Atari Teenage Riot -one the most
violent & original non-metal band that i 've heard these last
years-) It 's like a never ending chainsaw massacre! But like every great demo it 's too short! Pro tape and cool packaging! So what do you need?
