Release date: March 2001  Review: This new Razorback Records recuitee kicks ass. It's gore death metal with a striking Carcass resemblance (era Symphonies of Sickness) and Grave inklings... References like that oughta make a good impression on guys like me. The songs here are really sharp and clear, with a very metal approach, all very good, raw mid-high vocals interlaced with low pitch-shifted gore gore goodness, thrashing riffs and pounding rythms. A great horror ambience, eerie sounding movie intros, samples and the whole deal... It's just all really excellent stuff. So, the word is: I really look forward to hear what Ghoul has in store for their upcoming release. This is the kind of band that fits perfectly Razorback spirit, so it's likely we'll have a masterpiece here. Hope they keep it up with the great vocal effects, I love those. That should just be a whole lot of fun!

| MBI 1 Release date: 1998   Review: Gronibard means "bigtits" in french... So you can guess what is this all about! Just stooopid fun-porn grind-noise. They can be compared to the other french band, Infected Pussy: they play the same kind of extreme shit.. with maybe a little more fun into the music like some keyboards... Except that, this is average grind-noise with intense growls & screams, noisy guitars & messy drums! Also many many intro samples... like very very idiotic dialogs from porn flicks... some quotes from TV series like South Park or The Simpsons... & even samples from Peter Jackson's ultimate splatter feast: BRAINDEAD (aka Dead Alive)... Everything is in french language, so the jokes are more destined to french people... But well, if you wanna joke a good time you should check this out!!! The cover represents two huge tits... judge by yourself! But this more fun a la Infected Pussy than sick porn like Gut! Here we simply have fast, swift, straightforward and catchy grindcore style in its purest and most basic form... Without fun parts, without weird parts. The way I like it! With a slight crusty touch and a cool sound... But totally speedcrazed and hateful... Very much in Unholy Grave vein. Sorry to hear they have now disbanded.Tracks: 1)Fetishism 2)??? (Title in japanese) 3)Defecation 4)Dingleberries 5)Rectum 6)Blow one's lunch 7)Gutso 8)Minch Carcass Grinder Review: This band is getting very reknown in grindcore genre! Here are 3 live tracks! with killah raw sound. Grind/Noise with crusty touch, and some small rock n' roll parts to make it more fun, Really catchy and well played, full of deranged rage and anger! = Crazy brutally growled and screamed vocals! Unholy Grave Review: Third band on this 100% japanese grindcore compilation... Maybe the most known of the five groups presented here.. These are 7 rehearsal songs with an amazing brutal raw sound. & of course a mouthful of thrashy-crusty mincing grindcore. Same uncompromising vein like other U.G. stuffs! Fast and catchy as fuck, with extreme growls and hysterical screams, blasting/rolling swift drums, razor sharp guitars... I LOVE their dirty grindcore style! This is one of the best japanese bands today. Saprogenic Entrails Review: Whoa! This band's very fast and have a heavier sound than the bands featuring this compilation... But it's still very raw and noisy(close to Dead Infection first demos) coz it contains 5 rehearsal and live tracks. Mostly grinding; but also containing some slower parts, still very intense because of the extreme sound. Only low growling vocals(without effects) and no screaming backing vocals, except a few times on the two last tracks... Really good and raw grindcore! Judging by the song titles, they use pathological lyrics... but this is not a gore-grind band! Voltiphobia Review: Ha! this band have a heavier sound than Saprogenic Entrails... Maybe a more "metal" sound. Only live tracks, but a very good heavy sound! Brutal low growls and some screamy back vox, massive guitars and umegafast & swift drums... Numbing the mind, in a Negligent Collateral Collapse or Agony Conscience way... With more noise and disordered insanity! Really effective and staggering! Closing this truly wonderful and intense compilation! I don't think this tape is still available, but anyway, check other Bloodbath Records stuffs there: |

Review: Bloody hell! This one took me by surprise. Freaking great stuff! It's swedish, and inevitably, it has THE sound, something in the vein of General Surgery and... therefore Carcass. I can't say it's exactly Goregrind but it definitely has a few parts in pure "Reek of Putrefaction" tradition. The rest is quite tight, raw and violent death metal à la early Grave/Entombed, mixed with a bit of genuine, savage grind, a few well placed nasty blasts and a hell of guttural growls and sickening mid-high screamy maligna vox. At one point, there's stuff that I thought was completely like a Protes Benct song, if you know that old crust band... that was cool. Anyway, here you go, 7 awesome songs kicking ass, between early Carcass and old swedish death metal. Can't get any better. The thing is that it's a one-man deal! I honestly didn't notice it wasn't an actual band until I've read it on the website. This kind of stuff drives me nuts. If you're still waiting for General Surgery to do their come back, I say pick this one up instead, you won't be disappointed. The sound is quite raw but personally, I think it's part of what gives the band more edge. Thanks for the cool samples from Fulci's City of the Living Dead & Zombi 2 too, that's a great plus. 
Review: Another release from Lofty Storm records. Lymphatic Phelgm is a band from two guys, they play brutal grind-gore with pathological lyrics. In this five tracks you can hear the eletronic blast beats rape your ears. Other great thing in this demo is the cool vocals (Blluuaaargh) and some intros from horror movies. The sound of this demo is OK; the cover design is very good with colour cover, pics from the band and lyrics....
