PUNGENT STENCH "For God your Soul... For Me your Flesh" Cd

(Nuclear Blast Records)
Release date:
1990

Review:
This is a down and dirty, raw and brutal death metal classic. Powerful, basic & primitive compositions, with roaring vocals, chunky guitar riffs, aggressive non-melodic solis, pounding and blasting drums, everything delivered with a fat, crude but heavy sound production. This is death metal but with a similar sound to gory grind like early Carcass, lots of blasts and a pretty raw sound... It's got a lot less groove than their later albums, it's just a lot more straightforward and grinding. Some fun, splattery lyrics with genius song titles such as "Bonesawer", "Embalmed in Sulphuric Acid" or "Pulsating Protoplasma"... The first cd edition of this cd used to have 10 bonus tracks from early releases too. Essential album in my opinion... Like I said, a classic!

Tracks: 1)Extreme deformity/Intro 2)Hypnos 3)For god your soul..For me your flesh 4)Just let me rot 5)Pungent stench 6)Bone sawer 7)Embalmed in sulphuric acid 8)Blood, pus & gastric juice 9)Suspended animation 10)A small lunch 11)Pulsating protoplasma 12)Dead body love 13)Miscarriage 14)In the vault 15)Rip you with care 16)Festered offals 17)Pungent stench (First edition) 18)Extreme deformity (First edition) 19)Mucoussecretion 20)Molecular disembowelment
