Interview with Marc Palmen (Anorexia Orgasm Webzine)

1. + Hi Marc...!! What's up?? Hope you and LDOH always fine!! OK, I will begin my interview with a boring question... please tell me a brief story about LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY (LDOH) from the beginning until now!!!
   - Hi Putra, I'm very fine at the moment after a full dosis of alcoholic abbuse, last night! LDOH started for about 11 years ago making the worst crap even I have ever heard! Over the years the musick is more structured than 10 / 11 years ago, but we always try to keep a noisy identity. You will hear it on the new stuff....
   
   
2. + Can you tell me who made the musick and who made the lyrics. Which ones is the most important, the lyrics or the musick and why? What do you think about political, social critical lyrics?
   - We all make the musick, but no lyrics because it's to much work to make them. We even have troubles to make songtitles!! I think the musick is the most important thing in LDOH, because that's what's it all about or not? What do I think of political, social critical lyrics? I don't like them, sorry!! I only love gore/sick/pathological lyrics!!!!
   
   
3. + What is the main theme of LDOH's songs. And why the band chose LDOH as the band name? Is it fit for your music theme?
   - Our them is SICKNESS in each song and I think our bandname fits the musick!!
   
   
4. + In every LDOH's songs, I found many gore/brutality themes. Where are your themes from? Is it from the real story or only your images?
   - Our themes are from both: real stories and images. Usually we write 25 new songs and then make the songtitles.
   
   
5. + In "Hymns of Indigestible Suppurations" (LDOH second CD) was more blasting than LDOH first CD, especially on drum. Can you explain, why it could be happened? And can you describe LDOH sound, gore grind, brutal death/grindgore, or what else?
   - I think I have another drum style like Glenn on the first CD. In my opinion is the first CD more blasting then the second!!! Our sound is like a mix between fusion jazz with a little bad attitude (!) and gospel rock. NO, I'm joking. I describe our sound as Goregrind with sometimes a little Crusty touch in it!!! Crust rules!!!! Our third CD will be more noise mixed with goregrind!!!!
   
   
6. + I found out that LDOH always make split with other bands and it also often contributes their songs for compilations. What advantages do you get from this split and compilations?
   Please tell me your releases beside your full length CD? And how many songs do you make every month? Why are your songs very short?
   - We get advantages like free copies. So we can sell them ourselves. In the early LDOH days we made millions but we can't handle money with care! You want to know all the releases? Hold on, here they cum :

   We make sometimes 2 songs in 10 minutes and sometimes 1 song in one month!! Last time we made 1 song in three minutes!! This song will be released as the second song on the split ep with CBT, released on Fleshfeast Records.
   Our songs are very short so we can make a CD varied with much guitar-riffs and different parts! We have new songs with a play time from 26 seconds to three minutes!!
   
   
7. + Tell us about your gigs since the 2nd CD launching until now! And which gigs that impressed you the most?
   - We play more gigs since the second CD. The most impressive gig for me (and I think a lot of people agree with me!) is the gig on "the Fuck the Commerce Festival 2000". Absolutely great to play!! More good gig were the gig at the Plock with MINDFLAIR / SUPPOSITORY / MY MINDS MINE and at France at The Le Rat du Mort Festival with SUBLIME CADAVERIC DECOMPOSITION / MALIGNANT TUMOUR / AGATHOCLES / UNHOLY GRAVE, etc....
   
   
8. + Why didn't you release the CDs through Netherlands label but by French label? Are you pleased working together with Bones Brigade Distr. & Prod?
   - That's a good question!!! First of all the first CD was ment to be released on Moonlight Records. But the guy from Moonlight Records went undercover and disappeared. Maybe abducted by Aliens for a while together with Scully and Mulder. We are very satisfied working with Nico (Bones Brigade Distr. & Prod). He is very honest to us and we are honest to him......
   
   
9. + What are the largest musick scene in Netherlands metal scene? Is there any other labels, bands, distros that supporting death/grind? Please mention some of Netherlander brutal/gore bands! How is the relationship between death metal band and black metal band in your country?
   - The largest musick scene in I think Black Metal. I think Black Metal is the second worst crap I have ever heard since the first LDOH demo! Pathetic stuff. Other labels that support grind are Mangled Maggot Stew or Disgorgement Of Squashed Bodies (I think the last mentioned comes from Begium) and some other shit which I can't remember the name of some brutal bands here in Holland are bands like TUMOUR, ANDRE HAZES, HIPPIE BLOOD BASTARDS, MY MINDS MINE, SUPPOSITORY, SEVERE TORTURE, INHUME, DE DYK and THE SCENE.
   I don't know the relationships between death and black metal bands because I'm not in this style of musick. But I think there good!!!
   
   
10. + What do you think about Sex, Drug, and Satanism. How many times do you fuck your girl friends? And have you ever heard a story about a little girl who was raped by her father and tortured to death? If you were her father, what would you feel about it?
    - What I think of Sex? I prefer to call it PORNO, I love it!!!! Drugs are stupid and Satanism is the most pathetic bullshit I have ever heard!!! I'm sorry to say but I haven't got a girlfriend at the moment, I'm working on it!!! About your story, I can't come up with something shocking at the moment. You own me this one!!
    
    
11. + Ok, let's return to the music. What is your opinion about record (tape/CD) piracy? Do you agree or not?
    - I really don't care because I'm someone like that who sometimes copies cd's or computer games...
    
    
12. + What is your plan for the future? Make a new full-length CD or RIP? And do you know something about Death Brutal scene in Indonesia?
    - Our future plans are to make a new full-legth CD and some split ep's. Maybe after these releases we will RIP and live a normal life.
    I know some Indonesian bands like GRIND BUTO and Gannorhia (??? - GONORRHOEA). I think I spelled this name totally fucked up!!
