How are you?
Cheers Pierre!
First of all, I would like to give big cheers to all the
readers of your web zine. At this moment I'm OK, but weather
in Czech is really shit, 'coz still raining!!! After this
intie, I'll go to pub to drink some pils. I can't wait...

When
did you start playing together? What is current M.T. line-up?
Is it still the same from the start?
Oh, no. Todays
line-up is totally different from our start. in MALIGNANT
TUMOUR were about twenty people. Current line-up is:
BILOS-Bass/Vox, RICHARD-Guitar/Vox, MAREK-Drums, and we are
together since October 1997. I'm the only
"original" member from our beginning.
What
is the main discography? What is the best M.T. release in
your mind?
Sorry, I can't
say. because I like all our releases. it's very hard
question. But maybe , probably last record is best. as I said
I love all releases of our band. We have released some
vinyls, tapes and one split cd.
What
about upcoming releases, new releases...?
We are planning
these stuffs: split tape M.T./BLOOD SUCKERS,
M.T./HYPOCHRISTIANS and self tape on one Latvian label, next
split EP's with VÔMITO, INHUME, TWISTED TRUTH, AGATHOCLES
and maybe some more things!!! I hope that's enough!
Do
you think recording a full lenght album somedays?
Yes, we'll record
our first album sometimes in 1999. It'll be released by
OBSCENE PRODUCTIONS from Czech and we still looking for label
which can release it on vinyl. if you have interest, please
write to me!!!
About
lyrics, you were writing gory things since a few times and
now you write about socially aware topics... What made you
changing them? and what are current lyrics exactly about? Who
writes lyrics? Do you still like gore bands?
It's a
fucking [can't decipher that word] question. but I try to
answer it for you. We changed our lyrics, 'coz we think
that's fucking needed to response against shits which every
days fucked up more and more. yes, we still like gore bands
like before, but some gore bands are stupid sexist so we say,
fuck them! We want not to be part of this sick scene. Our
current lyrics are about socially aware topics as you said.
Protest lyrics against fascism, hypocrisy, rock-stars in
underground scene, system and other problems in our opinions.
Are
you into vegetarism in the band?
Yes, me and
Richard are vegetarians, our drummer was also half year
vegetarian, but he haven't power. Now he is flesh-eater!!!
But we are all against fur-industries or
animal-abusing-experimentation!!!
Do
you have a description of your music?
Hm... we play
fast and very agressive music, with gurgling and screaming
vocals with socially aware lyrics. We call our music
MINCE-CORE!
Did
you already play a live gig in France? Do you plan on doing a
tour anyday & coming to France?
We would like to
play in your country, but till now we didn't play in france.
But we'll try to make a tour in summer 1999. i hope that
we'll also play in your country!! If somebody from you can
organize gig or more gigs for us, please write to my address.
What
do you think about, alcoho, tabacco & drugs...?
I like some kinds
of alcohol like beers, wine and some hard stuffs, but I don't
like drugs. Some members of M.T. are smoking weed. Me and our
drummer Mark are also smoking tobacco. I don't care about
drugs. But hard drugs are not for us, definitely!!
There
are many many bands on czech scene... Can you say which are
the good bands and what are the bad bands?
So much people
write me, that czech scene is great and I feel like a
rock-star. Ha,Ha... No, now serious... i think that in Czech
is good scene especially in grind/crust/hc scene. Some good
bands are more into death or doom metal. but I can't say who
is good and who is bad. I haven't any problems with bands
maybe some, but small problems. I don't care. In my eyes ,
best band from Czech is LIES & DISTRUST. Great crustcore.
In US way, like DISRUPT, STATE OF FEAR. Great band!!!
Do
you listen some black metal?
Yes, but only
some old czech bands from 80's years. i am not listening
today's black metal. i don't care about it, but so much
fascist thoughts are tolerated in this scene. We must destroy
these fucking thoughts!!!!
Do
you have side-projects to M.T.? Would you like to play other
styles than Mince/Grindcore?
Me and Mark are
only into M.T., but maybe I'll be making some project in
IMPETIGO way. Richard also play in his band called LOVE
HISTORY now they wait for release their 2nd CD on Northern
Darkness Records from Italy. But they have some personal
problems now. They play very good doom/death metal. yes we'd
like to play different styles from Mince/Grindcore, for
example thrash metal, punk, hardcore, but MINCE-CORE is more
than music, it's our life style!!!
What
did I missed to ask?
Yes, how much
beers we sink? Tons! HA,HA...
