| OK! To start, can u
introduce Engorged? What is it all about, when & why did u form, what
do you wanna achieve with the band......? Hello Pierre! Yes I would be happy to speak a little about ENGORGED. ENGORGED is a doped up attempt to get young people involved in our political organization COBRA. What is it all about? Spreading fear and ignorance, Infecting the minds of innocent youth, and to promote and glorify violence, drug abuse, and self annihilation. Pretty fucking cool, huh? All other info you requested is classified. |

| Then, can u introduce
Engorged members? Are u all very good friends together? Are u all 100
percent involved in the band? The line-up remained the same from the
start? The current ENGORGED line up is as follows: MAJOR BLUDD-6 string and Geneva code violations, DESTRO-Drums and drugs, ZARTAN-blower bass and leather pants, AKKAD-vokills and moog, and yours truly on 6 string and weather domination. We've had a lot of other members, like Dave, CROC-MASTER, some other guys I can't remember...CROC-MASTER got deported so DESTRO joined up, Dave joined a more popular band so ZARTAN joined, he appeals to the hip black metal crowd, so that's good for business... We are all about 12% involved in the band. I'm sure this line up won't last long either, none of us can really stand each other. |

| Can u leave some words
about your background in the "scene"? your previous bands
etc...? Running a huge terrorist organization does tend to occupy most of my time, but in the past I have helped out in the studio with bands like GENOCIDE RAPERS, MURDERGOD, ANAL DETH and a few others even less worthy of mention. I was scheduled to lay down some axe tracks ala Kai Hansen (HELLOWEEN, GAMMA RAY, IRON SAVIOUR, BLIND GUARDIAN) on the upcoming LORD GORE demo, but every time I went to there jam space they were off in this field behind THE ACROPOLIS ADULT STEAK HOUSE, fucking trying to film their own pathological version of the BLAIR WITCH PROJECT or something... I don't know what those fucking guys problem is, Fuck it, I just went into their house through the back door and watched CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST on DVD and let me tell you, it was brilliant! |

| It seems it's been hard to
finally put out this debut full-length album, "Death metal attack 2"! But
what sensation do u feel now it's released for good? Did it turn out the
way you expected in the end? Hmmm... really If I had any expectations for this album, I would have to say they were probably very, very low. I was getting fucked up all the time when we were recording, I really had forgotten about the whole thing to tell you the truth! Drugs tend to have a real time warping effect on me. You know, like missing time type shit? One time I ate a bunch of these mushrooms and listened to every VOIVOD album (with SNAKE still in the band) in order of release, and then went and got a job at this porno store out on 82nd. Thats a true story. Weird. Anyways the sensations I felt when the cds arrived at my upscale downtown office were as follows: shock, denial, anger, depression, and finally begrudging acceptance. |

| How relationship between
you & Razorback Records is like? Is everything just going fine? Will
you work again with them in the future? We were quite pleased to work with RAZORBACK RECORDS, what with them being a sub-division of SONY and all. We figured we could probably get a ENGORGED video game out of it, ENGORGED painters caps that flip up and say "MOSH" under the bill, silk wall banners, back patches, the fucking works! Hopefully that will all happen soon... I don't really know how the album is selling, Billy Nocera tells me that he has moved at least 3 copies, so that is encouraging... I do wonder how he can be driving around town in a brand new DODGE VIPER "bumping" WARLOCK while I am yet to see a residual check! I could definitely see a re-alliance some time in the future. Nothing is in the works currently other then a new track entitled "SURGERY, DRUGS, AND ROCK N' ROLL" on the upcoming sequel to RAZORBACK' S GORE IS YOUR MASTER compilation series. |

| Do u consider the new album
"Death Metal Attack 2" like a follow-up to the "Death metal attack" demo?
like a sequel or a remake? As it contains most of the demo's tracks...
What about titling the next release "Death metal attack 3" & so
on?????? Yes! You hit it right on the head! DEATH METAL ATTACK 2 is follow up, sequel, and a re-make. It is another stage in the on-going ENGORGED concept. For example see the EVIL DEAD trilogy, or how about PHANTASM 1 and BEASTMASTER, which was originally intended to be a sequel to PHANTASM. Confusing, but you can see my point. Maybe try watching HALLOWEEN 3 again and then I think you will know what I'm saying.. The next full length will be a all-encompassing concept album involving the future, ENGORGED's place there, new forms of extreme violence, metal, etc.. It will sound very violent and futuristic. Sort of like the first VIO-LENCE and BLOODCUM lps in the year 2042. Or maybe RIGOR MORTIS 2033. It will NOT be called DEATH METAL ATTACK 3, but we may have a song by that title on an upcoming motion picture soundtrack. We shall see. |

| How are things going with
the 2 split Eps, with Cephalic Carnage & Impaled? Do u have any other
release plans? Well, as always ENGORGED is ready to fucking thrash! New shit will be recorded very soon, the CEPHALIC CARNAGE split will happen for sure! Their new material is fucking amazingly shredding, should make for quite a platter of splatter! Those guys fucking love pot, and we all love huffing whipping cream charges, computer keyboard cleaner, video head cleaner, model glue etc.. so it works out perfect. Sort of common enemies I guess. IMPALED split, we need a fucking label, get in fucking contact, every one is too scared to put that shit out! Pussies! IMPALED fucking kill! MAJOR BLUDD and me went to California to see MAIDEN, we wanted to party with those fuckers, but they were at the MMF! So instead we just broke into their apartments, it was great. Very "homy"! I used Ross's toothbrush to clean my combat boots, fucking pissed in all their shampoo bottles, stole a bunch of prescription drugs for mono or something... BLUDD pulled down his pants and was sitting all over Leon's bed freakin' bare-assed eating CHEETOS and shit! Hilarious! He even sat on his pillow! It was great, a really great time! What can I say, those guys are just great! They are one of the sickest bands around and I will be very pleased when that 7 comes out. We also plan to have a live 4-way split with BIRDFLESH and TWISTED TRUTH, that should be interesting, both are ripping acts! Exciting stuff, no? We are all chuffed to say the least. |

| How do you generally
procede for composing? Everyone brings his ideas, or is it always the work
one single person? Well, we usually schedule practice for around 7pm, but DESTRO is always late, so BLUDD and me stand around playing riffs off of shit like the first couple CARCASS lps, KREATOR "PLEASURE TO KILL" shit like that, but we don't have the tape with us, so they sound all wrong. AKKAD tells us, he says "your playing that all fucking wrong..." Then DESTRO shows up (sometimes) and he thinks we made the riffs up, but really it's just a bad cover of some old CRUMBSUCKERS song or something! Well, we just go with it to impress DESTRO, he throws some fancy hyper-blast shit over it, and thats it! A new ENGORGED song! By that time BLUDD and I are so loaded that we can't play any of our songs correctly, then we forget the new shit by the time we finally practice again. This band has a lot of problems. |

| What are u trying to create
with the lyrics? What influence the writing? Well, occasionally I will suggest a title or a lyric or two, but Akkad writes all the lyrics, and really I am not sure what exactly he is trying to create with them. Obviously intimidation and fear, but also I would say confusion and disorientation. This makes people more susceptible to our COBRA R&R, re-programming and re-conditioning. ENGORGED's lyrics tend to befuddle and batter the listener simultaneously. |

| I at least know, that you
are, Ryan, a fine cinema connaisseur. Are your tastes in the matter only
limited to "fantastic"/"horror" genre? What about the other guys in the
band? Are u all so highly interested in movies??? Yeah, horror movies are on of the main inspirations for ENGORGED. DEATH METAL ATTACK 2 has several songs that pay tribute to Italian GIALLOS (XYY TRIAD, ENGORGED and CHEMICALLY CASTRATED specifically) and still others involving Romero's classic DEAD TRILOGY, DEMONS 1 and 2, and the BLIND DEAD films. The work's of ARGENTO and FULCI are master-pieces to me. AKKAD and MAJOR BLUDD feel the same way, although BLUDD get's all drunk and starts saying E.T. and HOWARD THE DUCK are better than SUSPIRIA and goofy shit like that. Then he usually falls over backwards in his chair. I just ignore him.. |

| Any special reason for your
band monicker... Engorged? We wanted a very typical sounding name, originally it might have been MEAT LOCKER, DILDOZER, maybe HEPATITIS or something.... ENGORGED was easier to write, and everyone thinks they've already heard of that name, so we went with it. |

perfectly to your music. But I must admit the first time I saw your
flyers, I thought you were just another boring death band... Moreover with
the title "Death metal attack"... Is this generic title an attempt to
surprise people when they listen to your exciting stuff? Well Pierre, actually the title was just meant to surprise you! Our legal consultant GEORGE KEMP, informed me that our sales were very poor in France and we needed to hit that market hard. I didn't even know there was sick goregrinders like you in France! Actually, I didn't know shit about France period, even though I always thought it was cool of you guys to give us the statue of liberty and shit. Anyway, I was like " we need a surprising title..", that was the first thing we thought of. Maybe ask Bruno from PUTRID DYSENTRY if it surprised him also. ENGORGED head-games. That's some fucked up shit. |

| Do u sometimes have
ambitious dream of getting as reknown and cult as bands like Carcass or
Napalm Death? or are u just happy the way u are right now? So far, did u
get mostly good, or bad reactions from the underground? Do u start to feel
any amount of people beginning to really worship the Engorged cult? I have many ambitious plans for ENGORGED. Currently they involve recording our new material, then building a huge sonic-drill and using our new songs to burrow to the hot magma core of the Earth. Then I will use that awesome molten energy to power some kind of super-weapon. I will let you know when I plan to blow up the Eiffel Tower so you can be sure to watch! Old CARCASS rules. NAPALM DEATH rules before Barney, especially MENTALLY MURDERED ep! Now CARCASS are all chefs at a vegan restaurant on Belmont, and ND are proffesional rollerbladers. ENGORGED will be as reknown as MANOWAR or RUNNING WILD. Total metal war! As for the underground, lots of people write and ask for free shit. Zines in the USA would like us to sound more like BROKEN HOPE, but we play boot-party metal. Maximum hardcore. I feel a large amount of girls begining to worship me, I don't know what they think of ENGORGED though... |

| American UG scene is really
huge, like your country, it seems there are many brutal death bands...
What do you think about it? is it easy to organize shows, is there many
people always coming up to see you? Do u keep contacts with other us
bands? Brutal death bands always seem to support each other... or am i
wrong? Is there lots of conflits & backstabbings? (bla bla
bla) We are definitely down with some fellow USA underground scumbags like the forementioned CEPHALIC CARNAGE and IMPALED. Also bands like DRAWN AND QUARTERED, SPEW-GINA, TENTACLE, LORD GORE, LIVIDITY.. a few others. Most bands around here talk massive shit about ENGORGED. It makes me feel very famous We all talk shit! At practice, we talk massive shit about each other constantly. It keeps the aggression level very high in our music. There is no hippie-unity in our brutal and sick scene! We can't organize our own shows, even though tons of fans show up when we do play. Cubs here in town are all scared. They just want indie-rockers to stand around and smoke cloves, not drunken metal heads thrashing and diving from the rafters! Usually we just open for touring bands that feebly try to hit on our women. Then we get in fights on stage, I practically break my hand punching some giant dude, and all for what? I don't even like SIX FEET UNDER or OBITUARY! I don't know. We might play with EXHUMED if the club let's us, they probably wont though. |

| Is live performance a
primordial thing for Engorged? Do you enjoy playing shows? When can people
have a chance to see you on stage soon? An upcoming tour? Do you have in
mind to ever tour in Europe anytime? ENGORGED shows are very violent. I don't like to lug my shit to a club for something gay, that's a waste of time. We have played a few ragers though, maybe we will play with IMPALED on a mini-tour sometime soon... Overseas shows would be the greatest victory for ENGORGED! I would truly like to play gigs with European and out of the states allies like DISGORGE (Mexico), TWISTED TRUTH, MACHETAZO, INTENSE HAMMER RAGE, BIRDFLESH etc... Unfortunately, this is quite unlikely at the time being. The COBRA HYDROFOIL is currently impounded in dry dock by the State Police, I accidentally let off these rockets the wrong way, MAJOR BLUDD fucking fell in the Willamette River trying to avoid the misfire... It was pretty fucked up. That river has tons of raw sewage in it... he had to get a bunch of shots after that. |
