So, first off I'm not totally sure about this so I'll ask: is Parlamentarisk Sodomi strictly a one man project? Are you playing all instruments? Are you really adament about never playing live? Are you or have you ever been playing with any other bands before though?

Hello. Parlamentarisk is 100% one male. I administer all song writing and song performance alone. I'm not against playing live, but your question feels like the chicken versus the egg theory; where I am the chicken and the egg is a really good female Trondheim-based drummer who doesn't already play with hundreds of bands and really wants to spend her hard earned talent playing in an over-the-top shithole of a band like P.S.: None of them exist! When I was a young lad I played guitar, bass, vocals and/or drums in dozens of punk, hardcore, grindcore, prog metal, rock and/or big band jazz bands. One of them was called Ordrenekt, actually. Another one was called Rektum Prolapz and we didn't release shit, not even a rehearsal tape. How underground is that?

Your sound is so fucking perfect... Can you shed some light or half-light on how you're achieving it? What kind of equipment you're using, etc... Are these studio recordings, home studio recordings? What do you use for the drums? etc...

Thank you for the comment where you said the sound is so fucking perfect! Home recording??? You must be trying to fucking rape me. No, seriously, yes, it's recorded in a personal studio. Until last Thursday I used a pod-thing for the guitar and bass, which was stolen that day by some local professional thieves. I don't remember the settings of the presets I had saved on it, so now the Parlamentarisk sound is probably lost forever. I don't remember what I used for the drums, but I think the most important thing was to make sure the kick drum is clicky and the snare drum is snappy. Also, set the tempo to around 190-200 bpm. It's pretty fast.

Your songs are structured so perfectly and the guitar riffs are especially intricate... Please tell me it takes you a lot of time getting these songs right?!!! or is it all just natural to you?!! Can you describe your composing process?

Fuck, thanks, monsieur! It's always nice to hear when people notice my attempts at writing songs. All the good songs were written this way: I made half the tune, gave up on it, then picked it up again one to three years later and finished it. The not so good songs: I archive every riff I come up with (especially the shit ones) with a tape recorder. If I have an idea for a song, I listen to the tape and pick five or more tolerable riffs that are roughly in the same tempo. Then I rehearse playing them as fast as possible until you can't hear what's going on. After that I arrange the riffs in the classic verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus manner, or something close to that. I try not to play each riff more than two times per part. It's important to move on to the next riff before the listener (and myself) discovers that it's shit.

Are you happy with how "Har Du Sagt "A" Får Du Si "Nal"" came out? This new cd contains all the demo recordings right? Has there been any remixing going on? How did you land on No Escape for this full length cd?

I'm very pleased with "H.D.S."A."F.D.S."N."". It's the entire 2006 and 2007 demos, except the songs "Per Sandbergs Alkoholvaner" (“Per Sandberg's Drinking Habits”) and "Faen Ta Krig" (“Fuck War”), which were replaced by three new songs, "Regjeringen Bør Knuses" (“The Government Should Be Shattered”), "Overhodet Ingen Mer Statskirke" (“No More State Church Whatsoever”) and "Ja, Dere Forpuler og Skakkjører Dette Landet" (“Yeah, You Fuck Up And Destroy This Country Too Much”). In 2007 I sent out demos to a few grindcore Iabels who didn't seem capitalist, racist, homophobic and sexist. No Escape were the first label to answer me, and they were also the ones who made the best offer. What a bunch of nice guys, I thought. So I said to myself: "Go for it. Fuck off".

Do you have plans for future releases following this Cd?

This Parlamentarisk Sodomi shirt looks great, but are you actually wearing these shirts in the streets yourself?!

-Glad you enjoy it, mademoiselle. I've heard French boys are very fashion conscious, so it's an honor to hear you approve of it. Torjus, who drew the true cover that the shirt is based on, is a really fucking talented guy. I wear that shirt a lot, as well as the other P.S. shirt, the one with the logo and phallic map of Norway. I always thought people who wore their own band shirts were funny assholes, but look at me now, prancing down the street dressed in my own ego like a filthy hypocrite whore.

I can't think of any grindcore band from Norway offhand... There's been alot of black metal bands in the past but no grind... Am I wrong? Do you have any theories on that? Is there actually a scene out there, do you go to shows, etc...? Any norwegian grind or crust bands you can recommend?

-LOL, here's my "theory" on Norsk grindcore:

Blodsprut (Hundvåg): Noisiest noisecore in history. Two persons; both of them do both vocals and drums. They live on an island.

Brutage (Stavanger/Sandnes): Heavy, intricate as fucking hell drum and bass grind featuring two people who usually play something called "annerledesrock". They haven't released anything yet, which is a shame I'm afraid.

Endwarfment (Øslø): Broke up in 2006, and I'm glad I had the chance to see their last show. Everyone in the room was so fucking drunk, including the band itself! Their legendary "World Downsfall" 7" on No Posers Please! is a classic.

Grind Crusher (Øslø): Ex-members of Endwarfment. Their new demo "Mutation in Extremis" is pretty astonishing. They have a really fast and talented drummer. His name is Hans Jørgen and he has a lot of pen pals I believe.

Laserguys (Hommelvik): More ex-members of Endwarfment. They like to laser point at people with their laser pointers. They have a side project called Pleasureguys where they give people pleasure. Sombreros, mustaches, karsk and multiple cowboyhats are business as usual at their live shows.

Sexy Police (Trondheim): Futuristic schizos playing hybrid tech grind while drinking Seidel. Norwegian police brutality that seems to attract beautiful women.

Slaxxmaal (Fyllingsdalen): They must be the longest running Norwegian grindcore band in history. They seem pretty serious about what they're doing.

Toxic Pikk (Tjensvoll): Delightfully sloppy two man grindcore band. Check out the limited CD-Rs "Endless Pikk" and "Pleasure to Pikk".

Victimised (Trondheim): They're really good at thrash and crust, and also play some grindcore songs every now and then. If you still haven't heard this band, kill yourself!

I know I'm forgetting someone important. And there are probably lots more that I don't know about. If you're one of them and you're reading this; send meg et skjermbrev hvis du vil bytte plater, ta en øl, tørrprate eller noe.

Your myspace page lists several interesting influences like Sore Throat, etc... Though musically I'm especially hearing Terrorizer/Repulsion in your stuff... Are these deliberate influences or just the way it comes out? Do you listen to other kinds of music besides grind/crust/punk, etc...

-I guess Parlamentarisk sounds a lot like those two bands, though I've never listened to them systematically (even though needless to say I really like them). This is either a stupid, unintended, psychologically subconscious inspiration or a horrible coincidence, or both. Sore Throat has been a huge inspiration for lyrics and themes. If it wasn't for this unique Yorkshire band there absolutely wouldn't be any P.S. whatsoever.

I don't listen to a lot of music outside punk, hardcore and metal, but I like pop/rock with awesome melodies and cool guitar playing, like Chad Duhrman and the Circumstances, fast 90's pop punk such as The Terrified, The Clumsy Few and Rampage Kid, raw, dissonant prog rock like The Commentators, Waldorf's Curse and certain albums by Michael Morris and Important Flesh. For a while I listened to nothing but speedcore. It can be hundreds of times more extreme than any form of grind. I have a pretty narrow, boring, tasteless taste strictly based in rock music from the Western "civilization", and I never listen to music from Africa, Asia or South America, unfortunately.

What do you think about nowadays grindcore? What's your current playlist? Do you have any favorite currently active bands you'd recommand I check out?...

-I don't pay attention to anything except Norwegian grindcore. You should really ask someone with better taste, or someone who has the patience to dig through this sea of mostly shit called nowadays grindcore. I don't like any goregrind at all (except Carcass of course) and that seems to be what every single sexist unoriginal ripoff asshole is doing right now. FUCK THAT. The only semi-recent grind bands I listen to a lot are Discordance Axis, Brutal Truth (not the first album) and Anal Cunt. Once in a while something amazing comes along, like the ASHIAIP 7", but that's merely the refreshing exception to the awful rule.

Your lyrics appear to be vicious attacks against norwegian politicians, etc... Can you maybe shed some light on why you hate these guys so much, maybe enlighten me and all the other uninformed braindead readers who know shit about politics on all of this?!!

Oh, where to FUCKING BEGIN with this one. Norwegian politicians are targeted keeping the revolting slogan "think globally, act locally" in mind. I wouldn't be changing the world to the extent I do now if I were to sing "FUCK SARKOZY": He's in a faraway land, protected by the French nuclear system, unable to even listen to students and Muslims who cry for help. So: The so called freedom of speech must be used to "smash to fuck the fucking system" (Discharge) by the protester in his or her local nearby habitat, in this case Norway and the sick fucks who "serve" as its politicians. The next step is to sing "FUCK STOLTENBERG UP THE ASS". Political scientists who have studied the never-ending pragmaticism of Norway's current centralist government, have introduced the term "centraliscape" as a name for the sphere where the bastards in power operate, administer and destroy the globalized world community system as we speak. To counter-prevent this corrupt, reactionary scape, I have invented the term "anarchoscape", a sphere where students and alternative people (like punks and hippies) live in their own autonomous reality in a fight against the powers that be. To complete this theoretical "multiscape", a final term called "sodomoscape" was coined. This is where Parlamentarisk Sodomi comes in. By remaining productive in this scape, or sphere, or plane if you will, a person is allowed to protest and demonstrate with maximum impact, often smashing systems in his or her fucking path. We're still of course talking strictly in theoretical terms, but seriously, nothing works in practice without a theory. The "sodomoscape" is proportionally inversely complementary to the "centraliscape"; when one scape grows erect, the other shrinks, and fills the void of the aforementioned, while the other does not. It is impossible to move from one scape to another, and they are NOT mutually interwoven: One “sphere” CAN exist without the other. The participants that operate in the "centraliscape" have an agenda of oppressing multicultures, waging war against foreign countries, depriving children of food and a future, banning vegetarian and ecological food, outlawing lawful demonstrations, supporting the ozone layer, starting to take human rights from people, removing taxes from the rich so they get richer while the poor get oppositely so, and in the long run starting a nuclear threat. Do you see the fucking pattern here? They're eating us all from the inside at the same time, in the classic “divide and conquer” manner. Only an alternative “sphere” can do the world good justice in the long run. In the words of Sid Vicious: "Don't forget the struggle, don't forget the fight". And look what happened to him? Other than that, SMASH the establishment, FUCK the cops, CRUSH the war machine, DESTROY the money that makes the world go around, FORGET what you learned in school; it is all lies based on the propaganda they want you to believe in, EDUCATE the system, FUCK the politicians.
