Any special meaning or reason to the name "Orgasm Grind Disruption"? Do you write any lyrics for your songs? What feelings do you try to evoke besides the music?

There is no particular reason for the name.
I used to write songs when I was in a drum machine band, but I don't do it anymore. We decide the title of the song then the vocalist was supposed to write lyrics, but he didn’t do it at all.
When I write songs, I usually get ideas from anger, rage and dissatisfaction. At the rehearsal, I explain the image and we go from there.
The current band members are talented. The music and lyrics come naturally. The 3 of us write a song about half way, then we finish the rest at rehearsal. That's our style.

Did you self-release "detest" or another label did? Is it a full length album or an EP?
It is a self-release. It includes 12 songs and is about 13minutes in length. I would say EP but it's a full length album though.

The cd seems only available in Japan right now. Are you looking to get it distributed in Europe as well as the rest of the world?

Of course! If we can find trusted people or record labels, we would like to distribute in Europe and other countries.

How you did do this latest recording? Differently from your previous ones? Do you use bass in the recordings or do you think it's useless?

It was recorded at the same studio as the previous one. Guitar and drums are a one-shot recording and add vocals later on.
We don't use bass. We use bass and Guitar amplifiers to put out the sound. We do the same during live shows.
The bass player is a very important part of some bands, and I respect that. However, O.G.D. does not need bass. We're doing fine.

You started as a drum machine band, did you have a hard time finding a good grindcore drummer at the beginning? How did you find him by the way?

We used to do live shows at a local Venue in Chiba. But the Chiba area didn’t recognize GRINDCORE itself, as mostly HR/HM were very popular. When we did live shows in Tokyo, we performed together. I thought he might be the good match for us and ask him to join us. He is a really good and very emotional beat drummer.

Your new vocalist is from GRIDLOCK... What about the rest of the band, did you belong to other bands before O.G.D. or do you have side bands?

*Me - HAIGAN(www.myspace.com/scumnoisecore)
*Minagawa(Vocal) - GRIDLOCK(www.myspace.com/gridlockjp), Dahlmasick / R.I.P(www.metal-archives.com/bands/Dahlmasick/3540279638)
*Matsushima(Drummer) - DARKEST DAY OF HORROR / R.I.P(www.myspace.com/darkestdayofhorror), DEAD HUMAN CANNON(www.myspace.com/deadhumancannon)

Do you already have plans for what will be coming next from the band? Are you looking for labels to release your music?

Our plan for the next release will include 60 tracks. But this will not be in the near future. If any label is interested, we would like to team up with them. WORMROT(Singapore) is very aggressive. Someday, we can release split with them.

Your first Demo CDR's were very limited... Would you make them available again in the future or are you not interested?

If we decide to re-issue, we'll replace the vocals.

How often can you play live? Do grind gigs draw alot of people in Japan? What are your personal favorite japanese Grindcore bands right now? Do you think japanese underground is in good health?

I can't say definitely, but on average, we perform once a month. Our members play in other bands and also have regular jobs, too. There are a large number of grindcore fans in Japan. Actually, a lot of people come to see us play live.
I don’t think the underground, including grindcore scene, is bad in Japan. It’s better in a big city like Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.
RED RAN AMBER, SELF DECONSTRUCTION and MALEBOLGIA are my personal favorites. They are different from O.G.D but they are really aggressive and brutal.

One of your main influence seems to be Brutal Truth, right? What are the most important Grindcore releases/bands ever to you?

We love Brutal Truth, they are great. Our most influential band is early Napalm Death.

What do you listen to outside of Grind/Hardcore stuff? If you have a current playlist or something, would love to see it...

*Me - Electric Wizard, early Guns N' Roses, SSORC
*Minagawa(Vocal) - Bauhaus, THE STALIN
*Matsushima(Drummer) - Goblin, PAINT BOX(JP)

That's all! If you want to add anything else, you can go ahead...
