Pierre... now, at the beginning of January 2005, it's
releasing of a new split "Neurotransmitter",
preparing for a new studio session, and at last, but not
at least four crazy gigs - w/Inhumate (FR) on 15.1., w/Ahumado
G. & Cerebral T. on 28.1., w/Permanent Death on 29.1.
in Belgium/Diepenbeek and on 30.1. on Gorecity/Eindhoven
with all the great bands as CBT, LDOH, Cliteater and long
Czech caravan /AG, CT, Pigsty/. Well, enough work.
2)How
would you describe NCC style and sound? Are you influenced
by other bands while writing songs or is it just all from
your own guts? By the way, your vocalist's voice is perhaps
the closest thing to a pig I've ever heard coming from
a human!

It's difficult to describe a style, because we are still
"evolving" to a bigger bugger, there is a room
for a progression, I hope so, a huge large room for an
advanced evolution furthermore.
3)Your
latest release was "Paranormal Nanodivision"...
That's your second full length after "Progress Segment
Database Extender"... How was the listeners response
on both of these? Can you say which of your releases you've
been the most satisfied with personally? Do you actually
listen to your own NCC music often personally?
First
- I have to hear to my own music, when I practice... I
still love it. I enjoy personally more RSDE than PARANANO,
that's why, I was speaking about a room for further advancement.
And that's OK, we have still big goals...
Public? Some like our previous releases, some first cd,
some second cd, somebody nothing, I know a man, who likes
everything :)
What to say more? We keep on.
4)Ok,
from what I understand I think you're using electronic
drums for the recordings? But real drums on live sets?
Why is that? Is it easier to record that way?
It
has something with my work abroad. And my dreams as an
electro engineer. I've completed my dreams and I have
several drum sets, which I can use at home, with headphones,
everything connected together, a complex inextricable
web of cables, devices, e-drums, e-cymbals and another
e-machines & silicon chips. A salad of devices. I
love it. I've used it on several last recordings.
And live gigs? It's something totally different. A pure
energy. Many friends. Alcohol. Would you really move all
that equipment on a stage?
Yeah, maybe, in the future...

5)I've
read somewhere NCC members lived pretty far from each
other, is that right? How often do you rehearse together,
how does the song writing and recording process really
happens?
Besides
I have to add, all my music activities I still perform
with my Czech friends, they are a lot, although I live
4 years in Germany... I have no time to connect me to
a local music band. Anyway we do also a little bit industrial
with my friends, and normal big beat too, but I should
better not unbosom this :)))
To your question: after ten years of existence we rehearse
1-2 times / month, but everybody plays, writes, records,
mixes and masters also at home. Experiences exchanged.
Live gigs welcomed as a binding agent.
6)What
about live shows? How often do you play live? Do you enjoy
it personally? Your next gig is that Gore Festival lined
up for january 2005 in Holland, right? Did you already
play outside czech republic before?

events as Morbide Festspiele or Fuck the Commerce.
I enjoy live performance a lot.

imagery and lyrics are all about science or very offbeat/humorous
subjects, very unusual for the genre... I always wanted
to hear a grind band dealing with mathemathics and stuff!
Can you shed some light on why you write such lyrics?
And do you actually understand what you're writing about??
Is any of it accurate at all? Do you already have an idea
of what you'll write for your next lyrics? Your concept
reminds of what Ingrowing did on "Cyberspace",
what do you think of this album?

NCC
exists 10 years... I will go from the historic point ten
years ago till today through the lyrics:
1996 28 minutes of silence for all innocent victims
It's about the second world war from our, Czech specific
point of view. As you likely know, to be a little nation
between two supermachts is not everyday only a butter
& honey. We were independent about thirty years in
whole last century only. The rest of days were more or
less a prison. But who knows, how was it grinded down.
WWII is till today a nightmare of many people in (Central-)Europe.
I think, you know, what I am speaking about...

first time I've heard NCC was the split tape with Catasexual
Urge Motivation I think... Great split tape! What do you
think of this one nowadays? Were you in touch at all with
C.U.M. at the time?
A
touch with a CUM was that time only a little, as I good
remember, one e-mail... It's so far from today - we play
still one song from that tape live… It was simply
very dirty harsh time.
10)How's
the current state of czech underground in your eyes? What
are the best czech bands to you, any bands that really
deserve more attention? You used to do this czech underground
encyclopedia website, do you think updating it again someday?
The
Czech underground grows since X* years, I'm in. * = 183/324

contains The Encyclopaedia of 350 Czech & Slovak grind/noise/industrial
bands.
Yeah, great idea, I've made what I could, and mapped the
years 1988-2000. It's closed now, no new bands added (since
2000). But the contents of that decade I will complete.
Some time sure. I'd like to. I have to. An update comes…
in a future, I've collected many infos, only to finish
it.

your current playlist? Current favorite bands? Do you
