You're helming quite a few different projects... Namely Faeces Eruption/Devoured Flesh Regurgitation/Gangrene/Acrotomophilia... Do you consider Faeces Eruption to be your main endeavor? How would you describe each of these bands?
Geert: Hey Pierre! Thanks for interviewing me! I can't say Faeces Eruption (FxEx) is my main endeavor, but its not a band that I would like to quit very fast. Only some breaks during the years, but no quits soon!
Devoured Flesh Regurgitation started as a death/grind band called cannibalism I think about 1999 as a 3man band. Later in 2002 Rob joined the band as singer and decided to change the style to old school goregrind like the first LDOH cd and early regurgitate. A year later I joined too as a singer and recorded a demo. Now we are changing a bit to grind/gore these days. I cant say we are goregrind, and I cant say we are grindcore!
Acrotomophilia is started in summer 2004 (I think) as a goregrind band with drumcomputer. And we still are creating goregrind with drumcomputer.
Gangrene is started in 2005 as a noisey goregrind band with drumcomputer, bassguitars and pitched vocals. Now we changed a bit to goregrind like dysmenorrheic hemorrhage. I decided to quit a few months ago. This was just a project.
Further I have a band with BEEST, the live drummer from TUMOUR. We are active since January 2006 and don't have a name yet. More info later!!!
What's your latest releases/What's coming up/What are you working on right now from Faeces Eruption (or any of your other projects)?!
Geert: The first upcoming releases(artwork and music is received by the label and can be send to the factory) are:
Faeces Eruption / Kots MCD (last house on the right)
Biological Monstrosity / Necrotampon / Faeces Eruption CD (kitchen vomit records)
I'm working on music for my full length cd "The Murderous Rampage Continious" that will be released MAYBE this summer. but im not sure about this due some reasons. After this recording ill start making music for the Fecevomitatie / Faeces Eruption CD that was already planned at the end of 2004 but never saw the daylight because a label broke up the contact with us..
With Devoured Flesh Regurgitation we're busy with our full length CD and will be released on URETHRA RECORDS. My label for grind/gore/gorenoise bands.
Marc is recording the drum patterns for Acrotomophilia for 1 hour music for 2 different splits and some extra stuff that will be released later!
Will Faeces Eruption always be a one man drum machine project? You're also part of an actual band Devoured Flesh Regurgitation, do you consider Faeces Eruption something altogether different? It seems you actually performed as Faeces Eruption live at least once according to DFR site... How the hell did that go?
Geert: Beest, (go to question 1) asked me to do some recordings for FxEx (he's a drummer). I agreed with this, but after a few months thinking I told him I would like to start a new band with him. So I think FxEx will always will be a drumcomputer band yes. FxEx can not be compared with DFR I think. The vocals are the same style, but we also use high screams and grunts in DFR. Its all different!
Hahaha yeah, I did 3 gigs with FxEx. The 1 st was total crap. That was a gig with Steven from trendkill zine and Marc from Acrotomophilia. We played the drums on a cd. I played the guitars and Marc and Steven did the vocals. We had no drums on stage (stupid sound engineer).
The 2 nd gig was with Steven again, and I asked Luc (ex Depredation, death metal band from Holland ) half an hour before the gig to join the gig too as a singer.
The 3 rd gig was with Marcel from Scheldgeweld on vocals and me on guitar. This was the sickest and best FxEx gig ever! We also get our standing ovation! Yeah!
How would you describe Faeces Eruption? What are some of your major influences, musical or otherwise?
I describe FxEx as a goregrind(sometimes noisey) goregrind band as LDOH, NVE, Dead Infection, Regurgitate, Dysmenorrheic Hemorrhage These bands inspired me a lot!

What Faeces Eruption (or other project) release(s) do you consider as your most accomplished/personal favorite?!
I think that will be the Faeces Eruption / Tumour split CD. I love this cd. We both did 3 different recording sessions and came with the same intro and some of the same serial killer DVD, this was not planned, hehe! I don't know why this cd is my favorite, I just like this! 50minutes of chaos/goregrind!
What kind of equipment/set-up do you have? How do you procede to record your stuff? How long does it usually take to come up with a new Faeces Eruption song?
I use a drum machine, a few pitch pedals, my line 6 amp and sometimes my mangler (8track mixer with extra's on it, blablabla). I was thinking about buying some digital stuff. But I don't understand all that digital things so I'm still recording on my computer.
Sometimes I come up with some ideas and start making some drum tracks and there are 2/3tracks in 2 hours. Sometimes I'm working on a song for 1/2weeks because I don't work in it or I don't feel like I want to finish the song.
Most of your songs are untitled, don't you care about song titles? How did the name Faeces Eruption came about? Is the band about something in particular, gore, shit or whatever? Is imagery important to you or just kinda random?
Yeah that's true, I did song titles in the beginning. After that I stopped with it, but now I have titles again and I'm working on lyrics tough. Titles arn't very important to me. I wanted to do something with the word eruption, and I came on the word Faeces very quick, so I decided to name it Faeces Eruption. I think an image could help you with your music. I don't think I have an image, I write about slaugterings, porn, funny titles and some pathological-styled stuff. I'm going to keep all things separated now for all different kinds of releases
When did you first get into gore, noise & grind? What's the very first grind band you ever heard/got you into the genre? Where did you first hear about it, or who got you into it?!
I think the first grindbands I heard were in 2002. The first gig I saw was in Holland in SOOS PLOCK with: Depredation, Stoma, Rompeprop, Fubar and Last Days Of Humanity. I was about 13/14 back than. I cant remember what the 1 st grindband I heard was.
You're also doing a label/distro under the name Urethra Records... Why did you start this label? You started dealing in cd-r's but are now starting to put out some pro-done cd's, right? Is it becoming something bigger than in the beginning? What's coming up in the future?!
That's true, I started with U.R.R. in 2004 because I wanted to start a label and wanted to release the 1 st Acrotomophilia tape in full colour artwork on tape. I did 3 tapes and 3 or 4 cd-r now. I wanted to concentrate me on tapes but we were looking for a label that liked to release the DFR full length "Bones, Flesh 'n' Partysnacks" but I wanted to release this myself on U.R.R. After a few months I came with the idea to ask Rogier from Tumour for releasing some stuff because I already was in contact with him for a few years. And he came with the idea to do the Tumour - Too Large For Digestive Capacity and the Carnival Of Carnage - Where's The Beef? CD. I think my label is growing bigger and faster than I expected.
Holland seems to be one of the best place for Sick Sewer Goregrind from Last Days of Humanity to Intumescence & Tumour, etc... Do you think there's such a thing as a dutch goregrind sound? What are some of the best bands from the Netherlands according to you?
I think Holland has an own sound yes. A few of the biggest bands are from Holland (and Poland , chez. and Sweden ). One of my all-time favorites from Holland are LDOH, Intumescence, Tumour, Urine Festival, Fecevomitatie, Biocyst, Carnival Of Carnage, Anatomically Incorrect Crackwhore, Rottend Stuk Vrouwenvlees, Stoma, Fubar, Maggots. Further I cant say there are a lot of good goregrind bands in Holland.
What's your current playlist?
LDOH - Dutch Assault + MCD
Cerebral Turbulency - Forces Closing Down
Feculent Goretomb stuff
Dysmenorrheic Hemorrhage stuff
Fecevomitatie
Tumour
Maniac Killer
Biocyst
Neurovisceral Exhumation
And some stuff like that
And that's all I guess! Any last comment?
Thanks for the support by interviewing me and reviewing the FxEx / Tumour CD. Hope you like the new ones too!? Good luck with your webzine and Blue Holocaust! I love your band!
