When
did you guys decide to get together and start this band.
How seriously are you all involved in it? Are you all
set on keeping it up for a while?
Hey there Pierre! thanx for the gay interview. I feel
like a rock star. We decided to form in mid 2003 when
we felt a need to make some pure gore slaughter. We do
take it seriously; as seriously as we can anyways.
We will be doing this until we run out of riffs or when
our drummer dies, whichever comes first.
You
all seem to have various different other projects outside
it... How do you manage being involved in that many projects
at once? Are these mostly on/off projects or what...?
No
project anyone of us does is an on/off thing, or a one-off
thing (at least yet). Either we do projects for awhile,
or they dissolve and dont come back. Some current bands/projects
we are
involved in are Hirudinea, Erotonomicon, Penis Christ,
Witch Tomb, Aiwiss, Psychosadistic Haterapist, Flog, Pyuric
Expellor, and others
i will leave out. I dont feel like stating which one of
us does which, no
one needs to know shit like that. We are ubercult.
Can
you introduce every Embryonic Cryptopathia member? What
does everyone
do in the band?
Our
members consist of:
Clinically
Dead (me) and i play geeetar and bass.
Rotman
plays geetar and bass.
Spewfrey
plays drums, not much more to be said about him. I really
dont like
him.
Gorehog
does our "GUGGGURGLEGURLGLEGURGLing" and lives
in Miami. He comes
back up here when he needs to do his magic. He is OBSESSED
with latinas. "Taco Taco,
Burrito BURRRRRRRRRITO!"
How many copies of the demo have
you spread around so far? Do most people
seem to dig it? What releases will be coming next?
Right
now there are about 100 copies out there, so that means
i have 100 left. DO PEOPLE LIKE IT?!?!? C'mon man. The
next release to come out is actually out right now, its
a split CD-r with Fantasmi Di Sodoma.
This stuff was written and recorded completely live without
bass in one
hour. More noisecore influenced stuff.
We recorded our second demo before the above mentioned
live session and have
decided to release it as a split tape with Oxidised Razor
on Ray Riviera's label, Church of Anus Cult tapes. Once
my sewage doom/grind band Flog finishes our first sessions,
we will begin recording brand new Embryonic Cryptopathia
stuff.
Where
and how often do rehearsals happen? What usually goes
on during them? How do you procede to write the songs?
Is any of it improvised at all? etc...
We
have never actually practiced, it all happened on accident
really. We went in, set up mics, wrote and recorded. That
first demo we did was recorded over two days, written,
rehearsed, recorded. Then we overdubbed the bass and spewage.
Thats it.
One song was written prior to recording. We have another
session consisting of the same recording method, which
will be released as the split tape with Oxidised Razor.
We do alot of sniffing pills and smoking, and maybe spewfrey
and rotman will have a little to drink while we write
and record. The sessions tend to be me yelling at rotman
and spewfrey because they are so fucking stupid. Its not
fun at all.
Was
the demo recorded in a studio or something or is it rehearsal
recordings?
That
demo was recorded on a 4-track, as well as the above-mentioned
sessions. The new stuff will be recorded through a computer
and only then will we achive world gore grind domination.
Did
Embryonic Cryptopathia already play some live gigs? Any
live gig prospects as of now?
I
laugh at this question because it is so stupid.
The
demo's got a couple of pretty weird intros... Are part
of them from movies or just completely created? Who is
that 'Rotman' guy and 'Clinically Dead'?
The
intros were just a failed attempt at ripping off the Nekromantik
soundtrack. You know how Haemorrhage used that intro on
their "Emetic Cult" album? Well, we thought
we would play the
casio keyboard and do one that couldnt have been used
by anyone else. I did the first intro and Rotman did the
intro to the last song on the demo. We created the sounds
and samples
together with the cheese keys.
Ok,
now on to your other project/band Psychosadistic Haterapist,
this is perhaps the closest thing to Catasexual Urge Motivation
I've ever heard...
When composing, do you go and try recreating a CUM feel
or not exactly?
Thanx
for the compliment, thats the best thing anyone has ever
said about PSHR. When i used to write stuff for PSHR,
I wanted to emulate the patented C.U.M. style, but more
blistering and grindcore influenced. I used to describe
it as C.U.M. or Slough meets Regurgitate or Squash Bowels,
but things have changed drastically now.
No one has heard the new stuff yet, so i will keep it
a secret.

is now a 2 piece band but originally it was just you,
right? Do you still compose most of the stuff or is it
a real collaboration?
PSHR
is my brainchild, but it has always been a two-piece.
Spermen Allah was on the first recording, released as
the split CD-r with Maniac Killer. He just did some vocals.
Then Drew/Gorehog from Microphallus (RIP) came in on the
4-way Vomitrocity tracks. He did the noise/samples/main
vox. The psychology of the band is unexplainable.
How
do you compose/record the stuff? What kind of equipment/drum
machine/computer programs are involved?
No
computer programs are involved in actually recording the
music, only used later to master and add intros/noise/etc.
I use a tascam 4-track to record everything. For equipment
I use ibanez guitar, yamaha bass, bass amp, shit guitar
amp, various effect pedals, metal zone pedal, synths,
zoom drum/bass machine, and
a pitchshifter.
Ok,
some of your releases are the Split cdr w/ Maniac Killer
& the Vomitrocity 4 way split cdr... has any other
stuff been released besides those? What will be coming
next?
Those
are the only releases out at this moment. It sucks because
i have had new material done for awhile now and nowhere
to really release it. I have had interest and a split
cd with Intense Soaked
Cloth almost happened, but the Lofty Storm guy said he
wasnt doing it anymore. So, time will tell when a release
will happen. But, there are some plans underway, i just
dont want to jinx it or anything. The new material will
leave you wishing you had murdered/raped that bitch in
the alleyway.

do you waste your time when you're not listening to/creating
music?
I
have a girlfriend, and she gets most of my attention,
as she owns my testicles. Umm, i go to school at my local
community college and work a job. I love the "Ali
G show" more than anything right now. Sometimes i
will throw in a movie, i have been getting more into them
lately, but not too much. "Invader
Zim" is my favorite cartoon right now. Smoke alot,
drink meagerly, loathe my no-culture country, and hope
for a quiet, peaceful death. Not much more to say my French-Fried
friend.
