Review: On this second opus, Inhumate
really went 10 times more extreme than on "Internal
life".. They were already utterly violent in the
past, but here they got completely speed crazed, ryhtmed
by tight, blasting fast drums, skilful, sharp heavy
guitars, a good dosage between necessary technicity and
catchy simplicity, always preserving entire rawness and
sheer brutality in the compositions. Leaded by intense
vocals, reaching high degrees in anger, deep growls,
supported by screamy backvox. You feel they really play
with their guts! Everything is going very fast, flirting
with extreme brutal death metal like early Suffocation
and heavy grindcore in early Napalm Death vein. Even
including a few very very short songs. Once again, it
reminded me latest Blood(germany) works; maybe a little
faster and grindy... really catchy! The only thing I
disliked is the bonus track, kind of worthless remix,
which brings nothing to Inhumate music nor to techno
style... The lyrics are not common, just about their
feelings and thoughts... It is interesting most of the
time, about various subjects matter from sodomy to
suicide... As well, the concept of "Ex-pulsion"
is birth. A follow-up to "Internal life" about
life in utero. The front cover picture is blurred, but
inside pictures are not, and these are gruesome birth
pictures. If you didn't know yet, birth is a really gory
thing! (gore is life... or life is gore as you prefer) Click
here to
view a small birth picture from the inside cover. Anyway,
the total running time is 28 minutes and all in all, this
is really intense and extreme, brutal death or grind
freaks should not be disappointed!
