EXIT 13 "Don't Spare the Green Love" |

(Relapse Records)
Release date: 1993
Total running time: 66:19

Review: Exit 13 shows their very personal and positive approach of grindcore style here. Their Grindcore/death/hardcore is filled with fun; some harsh brutality encircled by a lot of original parts like movie samples, acoustic guitar parts, and keyboards... But they always keep a fucking heavy grind sound, noisy loud guitars, sick vocals and energic drums... Lyrics are interesting... mainly about ecology... and marijuana legalisation (in between several other topics). Only the very very bad sound is annoying here... most of the tracks are from cult old releases...
Tracks: 1)Spare the Wrench Surrender the Earth 2)Only Hypocrisy Prohibits Legality 3)Only Protest Gives a Hope of Life! 4)Societally Provoked Genocidal Contemplation 5)My Minds Mine 6)Anthropocentric Ecocidal Conundrum 7)Reevaluate Life! 8)Gaia 9)Unintended Lyrical Befuddlement 10)An Outline of Intellectual Rubbish 11)Where is Exit-13? 12)Ecotopian Visions 13)Constant Persistence of Annoyance 14)Inbreeding Populations 15)Self-misunderstood Cerebral Masturbation 16)The Funk Song 17)Get High on Life 18)Disemboweling Party 19)Shattnerspackle 20)Terminal Habitation 21)Fingernails 22)Conclusions on Various Religious Frauds 23)Political Dismay 24)Impaled 25)Disemboweling Party |

(Relapse Records)
Release date: 1994
Total running time: 75:35

Review: Second grinding offering from the hemp-minded american band Exit 13: Sound production crushes everything they recorded in the past! Some old songs are here in a new better and killer re-recorded version,("Reevaluate life!","Anthropocentric ecocidal conundrum", "Disemboweling party"...). Lyrics are still cool stuff... about ecology, vegetarism("Diet for a new america" You are what you eat!), hemp legalisation(with Jello Biafra intros), about stupid hunters("Open season for the slaughter!"). Loads of samples from movies and maybe from other source(i'm not sure!)... really fresh! Of course, don't expect straight grindcore; the originality and variety are the keys to Exit 13 music... and I really enjoy listening this! So, some acoustic guitar, keyboard and jazzy rock parts... not bad at all! There are also some really great brutal songs like "Ethos Musick" & "Diet for a new america"... Beautiful colour filled booklet, if you like forest pictures, exploding heads(this pic comes from George Romero's "Dawn of the dead" movie!)... High quality release! Also check the last track, which is... noise! only noise! electronic noise! total fucking noise!
Tracks: 1)Societally Provoked Genocidal Contemplation 2)Ethos Musick 3)Facilitate the Emancipation of Your Mummufied Mentality 4)Diet for a New America 5)Anthropocentric Ecocidal Conundrum 6)Reevaluate Life! 7)Legalize Hemp Now! (including A Warm Wave of Euphoria) 8)Open Season (the Story of Hunter Slaughter) 9)My Minds Mine! 10)Earth First! 11)Only Protest Gives a Hope of Life! 12)Disemboweling Party 13)An Electronic Fugue for the Imminent Demise of Planet Earth |

EXIT 13 "Just a Few More Hits" |

Release date: 1995
Total running time: 43:34
Review: Nice mini-cd and a few minutes of fun pop hardcore death grindcore under heavy hemp influence... Here is very original stuff, if you like experience something else than pure grind, try this! It's pretty cool, yeah, I like this... but this isn't for pure metal integrists of course... I can describe this as... hempcore! yeah pretty cool labellisation! hey! Contains a Dead Kennedy cover version, and a really orgasmic song called "Oral fixation", a few grindcore parts, and even an electronic noisecore tarck ("Snakes and alligators"). Recorded with top notch sound production and professionalism! Taste it, love it or hate it! A great Venom cover artwork parody too(by Wes Benscotter). Funny!
Tracks: 1)Legalize Hemp Now! (Edit) 2)A Man and His Lawnmower 3)Oral Fixation 4)Constant Persistence of Annoyance 5)Wake Up and Change! 6)Snakes and Alligators |
