DECAY "Cranial Consuming" Demo Cd
Review: Same vein as usual... Really Raw and Heavy Brutal Death, with quite a rehearsal feel and raw sound. Except there's real drumming on this one, which adds a nice authentic vibe, although I thought the drum-programming used to give Decay some edge... The vocals are totally deep and guttural, wicked sick. Guitars are really low-tuned, and riffing is typical brutal death stuff, kinda thrashy. There are alot of quite slow and very heavy parts, but also some cool blasts. Some parts are really cool, but the overall result lacks some straightforward direction. It's quite consistent, sick and brutal grinding death anyway, if you're into that kind of stuff... Remind me of Fetuxion, maybe a tad more catchy though. http://listen.to/VileDecay/ Tracks: ... DECAY "Gutting"
Review: I think I like Decay better with those catchy programmed drums, that kicks some ass. OK, well it's dark and sick brutal death, the sound is a bit muddy, but listenable. The rest is totally sickening deep guttural growls, alot of thrashing low-tuned guitar riffing, double-bass drums and a lot of blastings... Songs are all quite long for my grindcore ears, but there are a lot of brutal parts and a bunch of catchy riffs. A spirit close to Mortician or Vomit Remants I guess. DECAY "Decayed flesh"
Review: Not much to say about this one. It's basicly, simple brutal heavy death-grind reminding me of Mortician big time. You have gross ultra-guttural growls, nearly gory at times, with fast and heavy guitar riffs, programmed drums... From frenzied blastbeats to doom-like slow parts. A filthy sound on guitars and vocals, and powerful electronic beats. The song structures are worked enough for me. It's not bad, but surely not outstanding... It's really more than good for DIY stuff. Got the songs on mp3 format...
