Review: Ok, this is not exactly new CBt stuff, it's a re-issue of the same album that originally came out on Ablated Records, which apparently screwed the band (and the reason why this was re-issued I imagine). Anyway, the album itself is just great. The style here is quite different from their early material ("Cocktales", etc...) and in my opinion closer to Mucupurulent on "Sicko Babe", a more natural and flowing midtempo "Gore/Grind" still filled with sharp, ripping & thrashing riffs, over-the-top gurgling vocals (effects are barely used, perhaps not used at all, I can't really tell) and tight, pounding drums (mostly mid-tempo). The stuff here is just catchy as hell, really riveting from start to finish. Well-oiled song structures, driving riffs, dynamic songs... Slightly groovy but delivered in a very cold way as usual. The sound production is immaculate, really clear and effective. I'd say this is a must-have for fans of the genre! Imagery and lyrics are in a sado-masochistic vein, fetish and all that kind of stuff... With occasionally some pretty intense intro samples; there's not that many of them really, they're definitely nasty but not too intrusive with the music. Anyway, yeah this is just excellent, some of the best CBT stuff I've heard, no contest.

Cock and Ball Torture "Barefoot & Horny" Review: Most of you already know what to expect from Cock and Ball Torture; just neat Porno Goregrind, more porn & gore than grind though, but still basic, very catchy, grooovy with well in place blasts, horrible gurgling vocal effects and the usual porn imagery. The porn thing in CBT never actually really turned me on, it's a little cold, but the music's great though. It's a little mechanical, just too perfect and controlled, but it is indeed really dirty and gory, and that's too rare to be missed. I'd just like more wacky grind insanity, but that's ok. Songs are thick compositions, really pounding, quite varied, extremely catchy and powerful. We're closer to Mucupurulent on "Sicko Baby" than the early CBT stuff, I love the whole groovy thing so that's cool with me.

Disgorge "Goremassacre Perversity " Review: Fierce Mexican Grinding Death Metal band Disgorge's like a big bulging and bursting ball of pus and gore. A relentless discharge of splattery brutality and intensity. Tight blast-o-rama and buckets of sickening gurgling growls on a wall of deranged, merciless heavy guitar riffs. Oh well, that was my lamest description of a band ever, but they're really awesome. And their Grave cover! It's amazing, I totally love Disgorge, they're just so great. So, that would be one more really awesome Lofty Storm Records release. Extremely recommended.

Cock and Ball Torture "Zoophilia" Review: Well. What we have here is goregrindly irreproachable music. Well-thought out compositions, sick repulsive vocals, splatter effects, scary, heavy and basic guitar riffs and tight brutal drums. Just hyper catchy goregrind in a strict german way (Utopie, Mucupurulent, Sanity's Dawn...) This band's brutish porno-sexist image has proven to disgust and displease alot of well spirited people, but I still love their great gut-wrenching music style. Though I'm not so happy that some goregrind bands bring as much controversy as some of those fascist black metal bands, I always prefered to think of goregrind as a whole lot of fun, non-serious goo and mucus. Just a sick, non-sensical and apolitical gory perverted joke...

Libido Airbag "Rosebud Rhapsody" Review: Same sick and ambiguous spirit as CBT but more hardcore techno and groovy beat into the mix. Those compositions are really neat, though not nearly as good as their previous stuff I think (the demos cd). If you don't know it, you'll find alot of neo-techno beat, strangely sampled and manipulated guitar riffs, plus really charming splattery gooey vocals, some of the most disgusting ever in goregrind history. A couple of really catchy, brutal and emotional moments, though a few let-down moments too... on the length, the intensity of their style sounds a little overdone. But well, mostly, Libido Airbag is surprising, groovy, original and gory. With a few interesting sound samples (females into orgasm etc...) that reinforce everything even stronger.
