BLOOD "Gas . Flames . Bones" Cd

(Ars Metalli/Rough Trade)
Release date: 1999
Total running time: 31:09

Review: Blood seems to be unstoppable! Their new album is out now! All in all, the wait was quite long since their last album, "Depraved goddess", hopefully, they kept playing in the very same brutal way! Maybe even more intense and grinding! With fucking relentless blastbeats, very low-tuned -though still thrashy- guitars, incredibly heavy compositions, quite basic and effective song structures, songs running time varying from 1 minutes to 2:30 minutes, (there's even a 5 seconds song!), brutal deep growls for vocals, as well as lots of synchronized growling/screaming vocal parts... in their very own way! If you freak over previous Blood albums, this is in the same way! With the same excellent, heavy sound production! The introduction of the album is cool too, it's some classical music (Wagner or something like that..), and they play brutal blasts at the right moments, in the same time as the intro... It's really powerful! This album is also the most ambiguous Blood album, because of the extreme lyrics... really horrific lyrics, about horrors like war atrocities, violence, gas chambers, cannibalism... Great to keep in mind how insane humans are and how morbid reality is! I made 2 fucking mp3 sound files, so listen to them! This cd is available from Eisen (contact's below) for 23 DM/13$ postpaid (cash only), it's up to you to get it or not!

Tracks: 1)Intro 2)Screaming with no face 3)Flames and gas 4)Auto cannibalism 5)Ebola 6)Perishment in utter ecstasy 7)Defaced total mutation 8)2011 9)Der Henker 10)Fleshconsumer 11)Multiglobalised fallacy 12)Derangement 13)Woundead 14)FH-70mm 15)Holy rot 16)Mankind 17)Serial infanticide 18)Amputation 19)Hecatomb 20)Positional warfare

BLOOD "Depraved Goddess" Cd

Release date: 1996

Review: Don't be afraid, nothing changed in their music style, and they recorded about 20 tracks with exactly the same spirit as the previous albums, "Mental Conflicts" or "Christbait". As before, the sound production is very good, vocals are brutal growls with some backing screams and the rest is customary grinding brutal death metal we know Blood for... The cd begins with a sadistic introduction, the cd cover is the picture of a crucified rat(obliviously a make-up), and a rusted nail into the side of the cd box... These bonuses make it more orginal than other Blood albums, but "Depraved goddess" isn't essentially better than other Blood releases, nor either worse... It's just a good death/grind album!

Tracks:
 1)Intro/Zombie 2)Roman whores 3)Euthanastic inclination 4)Blasphemy 5)Die leiche 6)Bloody season 7)The god you save 8)Unholy god 9)Dark conscience 10)Wage war 11)Bastard son 12)Maggot 13)Christian holocaust 14)Wie krieder sterten 15)Fuck religion 16)Destroy command 17)Flesh hunger(Cannibal ritual II) 18)Sinister knell 19)Execution 20)A burial place 21)An orgy of blood 22)Forest morgue

BLOOD "Mental Conflicts" Cd

(Morbid Records)
Release date: 1994

Review: The sound production is clear, lead vocals are growled(barked!), backing vox is screamy, guitars are low tuned, thrashing, drums are simply blasting. Great composition work on this album! Some crust and grind influences; If you're into catchy, quite fast and no technical brutal death; "Mental Conflicts" is for you. It ranks in the very best Blood albums. Honest underground brutality...

Tracks: 1)Intro(Tentacles) 2)Insomnia 3)Toothache 4)Master's clemency 5)Secrets of blood 6)Mental conflict 7)Bleed for me 8)Spreading the thoughts 9)Blood 10)Stretched 11)Away is away 12)For Auld Lang Syne 13)Crown court 14)Inflame 15)Texas chainsaw massacre 16)Naked frozen 17)Blood prize18)The favour of ecstasy 19)Morpheus 20)I dream dead

BLOOD "O Agios Pethane" Cd

(1 MF-Recordz/Rough Trade)
Release date: 1993

Review: This third Blood album, is in the vein of "Christbait", but pretty much badly inspired and played; Blood is still into very brutal death metal... but it sometimes gets quite boring... many useless intro samples between tracks... really unartistic lyrics... Weak release, but interesting because of the harsh brutality... some great grindcore parts, with both growls and screams... as well, the sound production is OK, and the composing effort reaches 2O songs... still very underground mood... The worst Blood album in my mind, but a piece of intense brutality... Blood freaks should appreciate!

Tracks: 1)Intro 2)Kadath 3)Cannibal ritual 4)Profanity 5)Submission 6)Sodomize the weak 7)Punishment 8)Christbait 9)Dread 10)Wings of declaration 11)By the way of grace 12)God left the world 13)Afta ta malakja 14)Revelation 15)Divine seed 16)Spasmoparalytic dreams 17)Lamentation 18)Stream of anguish 19)Blood for blood 20)Outro

BLOOD "Christbait" Cd

(1 MF-Recordz/Rough Trade)
Release date: 1992

Review: Second Blood full length album... after the cult "Impulse to destroy", they left grindcore, and turned to brutal death metal, with a few elements of doom and grind... The sound production is very good, and songs are very well composed. The whole album is brutal, catchy, with a doomy feeling through low-tuned guitars, a grindcore touch through harsh drumming, and brutal death metal growling vocals. This album is very well done, a very good Blood album...

Tracks:
 1)Lost lords 2)And no one cries 3)The last words 4)Scares of souls 5)Damnation 6)Harass 7)Join stock company 8)Final chasm 9)Dogmatize 10)Self immolation 11)Widow path 12)Be doomed 13)Bought beauty 14)Past belief cessions 15)Mass distortion 16)The greed 17)Down to the swamp 18)Technical abortion 19)The head of a dead cat 20)Terroraise

Review: Do you like pure grindcore? If yes, Blood will fuck your brain up! This is their first release and they recorded it in 1989. Maybe their band picture looks like poser but Blood is great!
