AGATHOCLES "Distrust and abuse"
(Boundless Records)
Release date: 1993
Review: Here is a killer 6 track ep... only pure grindcore songs with heavy sound except "Get off your ass" (which a killer crusty hardcore song). Grind tracks sound like early Napalm Death: low roaring vocals with some backing crazy screams... thrashing guitars and -hyperfast- grinding drums... The sound isn't really perfect, but loud enough to enjoy the songs in a great climax of ultra-brutality! Lyrics are against nazism, rockstar attitude etc... Note: You can find these tracks as bonus on "Razor sharp daggers"cd...
Tracks: 1)Sieg shit 2)Hatronomous 3)Hideous headchopping 4)Bigheaded bastards 5)Get off your ass 6)Distrust and abuse

Abstain "Religion is war"
Review:
Abstain... from USA! with some cool powerviolence... Basicly it's traditional social grindcore with two vocalists(great vocals)... but there's also a big part of punk/hardcore notes between the grind part. No, it's very good! Grind parts are really great. As well, the last song is particular... This is a Terrorizer cover("Dead shall rise"), but they changed the lyrics with their own text(against gore lyrics!). Some good things here...

NOJZ BOJZ Full length 7"ep
(
Panx Records)
Release date: 1996
Review: Nojz Bojz(noise boys) is a swedish band, this ep has been put out on french label, Panx Records o, 1996, and jesus christ, this is very good! Some kind of bizarre extreme grind/noise, with noisy guitars, messy drums and weird brutal vocals... Only short, raw, improvised insane tracks... The cover isn't great and song titles are quite stupid... but who cares? The important is that here are some 15 tracks of freaky noise/grind! To get it, check Panx mailorder...

NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS/HATEBOX Split 7"ep
(Fudgeworthy Records)
Release date: 1999
N.O.Y.F.B. Review: Pressed on a cool GRAY SWIRL vinyl, the first side of this crazy split is performed by a north american band called None Of Your Fucking Business. This band is playing grind-noise, no doubts about it! Well, this isn't my favourite music style, but it's funny. Here we have 69 untitled tracks (played in a few minutes).. I don't know if you can call them "songs", because these are only short (a few seconds) noisy little things played one after another without cut, so it sounds like a long track filled with short drum blasts, improvised noisy guitar mess, raving delirious grunts... with a silence every 2 or 3 seconds! Considering the longest song is probably 8 seconds or so... Well it's classic noise-grind! The sound is not too saturated (there aren't guitar larsens or harsh noises for example). This may be horripilating to some anyway... or then really entertaining, it depends on your humour. There's a funny intro and also a cool outro... If you like unstructured frenzied noise like Meatshits or Anal Cunt shortest hits... You should dig this shit too!

Hatebox "Sonic hatred"
Review:
Hatebox is a one-piece, italian blazing grind act, by a guy now playing with the Cripple Bastards. These 7 tracks are really powerful, condensed extravaguant blasts of sheer hatred and nihilism. Even if the sound is a little dark, this stuff just blow the shit out of me! It reminds me of the intensity of bands like Enemy Soil... With the use of drum machine, very fast blastings, with guitars which are not too heavy, but thrashing and really catchy too. Vocals are also very extreme with saturating insane screams and also lower grunts. There are midtempo parts too, bathing in incredible violence. If you like intense stuffs like Kryptosexual Cancroid also from Italy, very powerful grind and blasts, harsh aggression and distortion. Please taste Hatebox!

NUNSLAUGHTER "Blood Devil"
(Revenge Productions)

Release date: 1999
Review: A great 4 songs vinyl 7"ep of fucking basic death metal. With a porbable influence of classic old school american evil death metal bands, but also of early Grave for the simple riffing and totally low-tuned guitar tone. A tight drum sound and a general killer sound production. Powerful and heavy, but still with something raw and truly stirring through it! On the other hand, vocals are high-pitched and aggressive... Quite manic, in the vein of Carcass or early Kreator. I really dig this stuff. Death Metal people, you know what you have to do!

NYCTOPHOBIC/EXHUMED
(Revenge Productions)
Release date: 1996
Nyctophobic "Sterility"
Review: How sound the new Nyctophobic material? Well, this is the same as on "War criminal views" cd, so cold brutal grind, with metal sound, roaring vocals and some backing screams... But there's pretty much more feeling here, something more... It sounds between old Nyctophobic and Napalm Death on "Utopia Banished" album(yes, a big N.D. influence!)... it's very aggressive and catchy... and with an incredible sound production! I heard that on the advance tape, so watch out the split 7"ep with EXHUMED to be released on Revenge Production... (Revenge@junior-net.de), where these three great will feature...
Tracks: 1)Narrow Mind's Bleeding 2)Sterility 3)Neglect Of The Loss
Sounds: "Sterility" mp3

Exhumed "Totally fucking dead"
Review:
Two unreleased Exhumed tracks... two tracks of pure Gore Metal! This mutant hybrid goregrinding metal style between early Carcass, Impetigo, Repulsion, Napalm Death and also, mmh... Suffocation... Of course with a little personal touch which it sound very unique! Fast and grinding, with shrieking and growling gory vocals, and all the other things you can expect from Exhumed... The sound production isn't perfect, but still heavy and brutal! Did I already say that this hatredfilled split 7"ep is a MUST-HAVE? Only because Exhumed is the best american death/grind band, and Nyctophobic the best german death/grind band(since Gut broke up hehe).
