- Argh! Birdflesh
is really amazing! Fresh, funny, freaky,
grinding, thrashy and fast... They remind me
of Macabre, Terrorizer, Impetigo or
Repulsion(a Repulsion cover features on this
ep as bonus track!) with the big sound of
Nasum! But of course they have their own
orginal personality in music and lyrics!!!
They are from Sweden, they like to play very
loud, with predominant hardcory drums rythms,
and a few blastbeats, some raw vocals, some
screamy backing vox, tons of dirty guitar
riffs; Sound on this ep is very clear, and
it's a real pleasure listening to it; But the
best thing about Birdflesh is their sense of
humour; The cover is funny, the lyrics are
frenzy and extremely deranged; and... let me
quote some lines: "I was killed on a
Birdflesh concert, my back was cut off in the
pit, so my parents put me in a grave, but i
wanted to mosh... I am metal to the bones,
and bones are all that is left, but a true
metal freak never dies, Manowar and I are
friends... He is the brutal corpse, of jeans
and leather and gore, he will never rest in
peace, and he will never listen to
sleaze" hehe... The lyrics put
together with the crazy music really makes it
awesome! Lyrics are printed, there's a great
blue vinyl and the cover is very well
designed, and of very good quality! As well I
love their logo! If you're into fun, old
style thrashy grindcore.... Please get this
