FACES OF GORE/BIOCYST Split Cd
(Klysma Records - Klysm007)
Release date:
2007

Review: I 'This CD contents absolutely no musical abilities or whatsoever only pure sounds of vomit, bile, sludge or anything else, simply to disgust you…!!!'
This is the quote around some autopsy in progress photo you can read on the inlay of this CD… No body could said it any better I recon. This is just a pure horrific gorenoise monstrosity on plastic that's for sure!!!

Faces of Gore - Bradyurethrorrhoea
This vomitose piece of plastic begins with the Faces of Gore side called 'Bradyurethrorrhoea' and was actually original released in 2006 as a demo on tape by Eyes of Hatred Records (or something among those lines). Faces of Gore goes on for about 20 minutes… this is a 'rough' one to get through… there is absolutely no song structure, it's pure mad blasts from an fast drum computer where the snares sometimes sound like small little ragging hammers (with here and there coming from nowhere whistle and hand clap sounds!) The drums reminds us a bit of Anal Birth when it comes to randomness and blasts and are a bit soft muffled sounding in the background of all things. Same goes for the bass, it's really low and distorted, bit on the background but a bit clearer than the drums and just sounds chaotic and disgusting!!! No riffs here and nothing to make any sense of! Just one distorted blurs that stop and end and stop and end and stop and end! The vocals are the most 'clearest' and forward on the record and what a sick bunch of vocals these are!! At one time you get this really distorted, deep pitch shifted grunts and growls like in Anal Birth or Biocyst (Not weird because.. I will tell you later) and on the other hand you have this sick toilet watery gurgles we know from Tumour and Urinefestival…. The reason why this projects remind me so much of Biocyst and Urinefestival (Both projects from Marc Palmen ex-LDoH) is because Faces of Gore was a prior project with topics and sounds that later split up in what are now: Biocyst and Urinefestival!! Also here and there later in the session you hear really disgusting burp like gurgles…. like somebody is burping up their diarrhea or some sludgy substance of some sort!! So yeah think of a combination of Anal Birth, Biocyst and Urinefestival that goes on for about 20 minutes with small pauses here and there with the neglect of any mastering, riffing or rhythms!!! ghastly….

Biocyst - Filthy Reeking Decomp
If you survived this 20 minute long raping of your ear drums then there is Biocyst there again to knock you out completely! Biocysts side is called 'Filthy Reeking Decomp' and has 2 long songs (especially when looking at the goregrind and gorenoise genre… this is considered long) of 4 minutes and some seconds… the rest of the songs are short ones… mostly under 50 seconds… 9 songs total. The Biocyst material is different from other materials I've heard…. there are even slower and heavier parts in the two longer songs which I really enjoy! Slower drumming with groovy sounding bass… (I can actually here something of a riff or rhythms here!!!) Again downtrend distorted heavy sounding bass (2 of them.. No guitars here I think!) The slower parts as well as the fast blasts and gorenoise mayhem are totally mind blowing!! Again cool movie and pathology samples used as diversity but nothing really annoying or terribly long! And not just as intro's but also mixed within the songs and music! Which is really nice and adds some 'atmosphere' Also I noticed the song titled and record titles are significantly shorter and less 'medical/pathological complicated' as I'm used to from Biocyst so nice surprises there! The vocals are fucking sick!! Nice variation from burping/vomiting sounding blubber belches to pissed of deep pitched and distorted grunts with here and there a bit liquid bullish sounding ones (but those are 'rare') and some loud 'belch' sounding eruptions… I wonder if he vomited, heaved or spilled some stomach acid here and there during the recording sessions….

Anyway both bands sound totally filthy, disgusting, vomiting and total gorenoise blasting mayhem with little room to catch your breath! The artwork is just plain filthy and nice! Meaty autopsy shots and just nasty stuff! Total dutch sick goregrind from just one man! Marc Palmen! Who also released it on his label Klysma Records! This record, projects and label are for true Noise/Gore fanatics only!!!! Go back to the top of this review and read the quote ! YOU ARE WARNED!

S.M.E.S. "Gory Gory Halleluja!" Cd
(Bizarre Leprous Productions)
Release date:
2005

Review: S.M.E.S. … is an acronym that stands for 'Schijten Met een Stijve' which is dutch for something like 'Taking a shit with a hard on'. This band name really shows the 'humor' of Erwin de Groot (also in Last Days of Humanity, Kots and now Pussy Torpedo) who is the sole member of this project. S.M.E.S. is a not to serious project (well with song titles and some of the samples and sounds at least) but is worked on seriously! S.M.E.S. is Cyber/Technogore and has no real instruments whatsoever. All music/grinding and raving is done with a computer (but recorded analogue… which is really cool since most cybergore is purely digital recorded). The only thing that is real on these recordings is Erwin's voice.

S.M.E.S. really has his own sound. Digital low pitched and distorted 'guitars' sometimes accompanied with very clean sounding 'bass'. Programmed drums that sometimes blast and sometimes play really nice rhythms (working with the PC S.M.E.S. really has very catchy bits and pieces) and the low pitched blubbery vocals to top it all off! Mostly samples are used to open the songs with but sometimes they are left out for a straight blast.

On this album nothing changed in that direction! the magical format that is S.M.E.S.
The first two songs are mostly just grinding songs, after that the 'cyber/techno' kicks in with whacky synth sounds sometimes solo or combined with vocals and other instruments. You can hear wavy sounds, bass and also pianos! The song 'A Muse Sick' even has his cool cowbells mixed in there! I love cyber cowbell grind. After that two more grinding songs kick in and then back to the cybergore. S.M.E.S. really knows how the mix the grind and blasts with the technogore and experimental songs on this album but nothing new here really! If you dig S.M.E.S. you dig this album also ! It's a decent one but not really special to me! Just good old Schijten Met een Stijve fun!

FAECES ERUPTION/KOTS Split Cd
(Last House On The Right – HAUS 033)
Release date:
2006

Review: Dutch madness! 2 acts from the Netherlands, I'm so happy I'm from this country goregrind wise! A really cool combination of Goregrind and Cybergore on on CD released by american label Last House on the Right (They sure do know what they are doing!!!)

Faeces Eruption - Animal Acts and Other Attractions

Faeces Eurption blasts off this release! Literally! Alright there are some samples here and there before the songs but the rest is just blasting and really great! One of my favorite goregrind projects ever! Man! Drums are blasting and sounding great, well programmed, not just some gun salvo snare massacre that keeps getting repeated and repeated over and over again no! Just good well thought over blasts! You can clearly hear that Faeces Eruption takes this stuff seriously when it comes to written, recording and 'composing' these songs. Alright so blasting well programmed drums! Besides that I hear a sick downtuned distorted wall of bass and guitar!! You can hear there are riffs or there are harmonics/power chords or in what way you want to describe it! It sounds thick and distorted but it's not gorenoise, it's still organ-strated goregrind!! This violence and blasts are topped of with great sick deep pitch shifted vocals that sound nice and meaty but also wet and splashy! nice and thick! Faeces Eruption does this 10 tracks long and it's a real treat I must say!!

KOTS - Carousel Death Trip

Here is KOTS! Also from the Netherlands and the Cybergore half of the split! KOTS is a project by Erwin de Groot (S.M.E.S., Last Days of Humanity and Pussy Torpedo) and Jor'es du True (Rompeprop). KOTS is basically S.M.E.S. but then without the goofy sounds and techno parts, this is pure blasting cybergore with sometimes slower songs and even 4 covers!! So KOTS sound is same as S.M.E.S. when it comes to guitar and drum sounds. Vocals are a bit different though, these vocals sound deeper pitched and sometimes more blubbery/wet than with S.M.E.S. but still really cool.. it reminds me a bit of a boiling old coffee machine or something…! The covers on this release are from Anal Cunt (2x), Fear of God (1x) and GUT (1x). I like what they did on the Anal Cunt cover ! They samples the guitar feedback/distortion from the original song and used it … the rest is pure KOTS haha how brilliant. And the GUT cover even sounds like the original well for some parts! Hard to get totally close with cybergore I think but they pretty much nailed it! The rest is a good listen to!

I really love the material from both bands! Glad the material isn't to lengthy on the KOTS side though, might got boring with more songs for my taste. The artwork on this release is pretty cool too! Really nice illustrations in black and white! Good job bands, labels and designing artists! Real must have if you dig short, straight in your face goregrind and cybergore.

THE MOST DEVASTATING BANDS ON THE PLANET Split Cd
(Divine Noise Entertainment)
Release date:
2005

Review: This album might not have the most gruesome title for a split record but man de name is pretty damn close! Really sick release this is! This time let's start with the packaging ok?

I got this CD in a long time ago, was really looking forward to it (FeceVomitatie and Faeces Eruption are on here, which are two of my favorite bands in the gorenoise and goregrind scene). The CD comes with a slip-over cardboard sleeve with a nice drawing saying 'Most Devestating Bands on The Planet' (Drawing by Freaktrash) When this is removed you only see skulls! Skulls on the front, skulls on the back and skulls on the disc! Not something I really expected to be honest, With the band names and the record label DIVINE NOISE ENTERTAINMENT (who also did the 3 way sickness split which had 'disturbing' artwork). Every band on this release has their own page, there we can find more ' typical goregrind' artwork!

Alright now we have looked at the CD it was time to put it in the player and here we go!

A Child Corpse In A Trash Bag.
This CD Starts with a static heavily distorted guitar rumble that goes on for about 13 second and then from nowhere a very distorted and flangered/chorus pitch shift grunt comes and in a split second a drum machine starts hammering it's way into your ears! The guitars keep the same during the whole song which is just one 7 minute long track… totally distorted, downtuned and rumbling like crazy (there is even some echo effects)! You can't hear what's been played and my guess is nothing at all really! The drums are short and blasting sometimes in a 'pattern' but also very random blast and snare outbursts … overall this project and it's name reminds me of Anal Birth… just different sound, drums and vocals. The vocals are as I said pitched but sounds layered and also a phaser, flanger or chorus is used for the wet spluttery effect…. and don't forget distorted!!! As I believe correctly this is a 'tribute' to Anal Birth project by Andy from Anal Whore/Divine Noise Entertainment. (but don't quote me on this!) But man this song is sick! Burst, distorted and crazy vocals for 7 minutes and 5 seconds! One hell of a way to kick start a record (especially with a title like this one)

Faeces Eruption
The next band up is Faeces Eruption! Man I love this band! First song lets you calm down a bit from the ACCIATB attack! It has a nice melodic movie soundtrack intro, no idea from what but it sounds very amusing… but after the soundtrack stops we hear a few snares and then……. Faeces Eruption does what it's best at!!! Well programmed blasting drums, thick distorted bass sounds (but not near noisy/gorenoise) you can hear whats been played and that he thought about it instead of just grinding/sliding. Briljant violent deep pitched vocals! Just the way we like it! Faeces Eruption keeps true to it's sound and that is good! You know what to expect without it getting boring and it's done again in good quality of sound and the well thought out manner it's always been done. Again samples are used from movies … I even hear a sample from Ace Ventura pet detective! Briljant! And the last song is a cover from Machetazo! Sick!

Fece-Vomitatie
Ok so we got one sick thick noise assault from germany and one sick goregrind assault from the Netherlands! And now for the 2nd time 'we' get the chance to make something sick! Fece-Vomitatie, a project by Marc Palmen and Rogier Kuzee (fucking sick combo!) which plays filthy gorenoise… all dutch titles and all dutch samples! Total dutch obscenity, humor, perversity, gore and noise! The first song lets you calm down from the Faeces assault but builds up a tension…. a woman getting followed/stalked for a while and then screams loudly… then you know it's time! After this scream you hear a thin, metallic, echoey sounding snare going 'tick tick' and then full chaos!!! Totally distorted down tuned distorted bass that is getting slided and grinded like a maniac! Nothing to make any sense off! No riffs no nothing!! The vocals are fucking sick!! Distorted deep pitched grunts, blubbery belching and more distorted pitched madness. This is pretty much the 'formula' on there whole side of this split! Dutch intros from movies and series (mostly old), raging blasting drums (comes close to the Tumour drum computer sound… but not so much that it sounds like a copy)… total distorted bass shredding and grinding and sick distorted pitched grunts, belches, inhales and we even hear some of the watery/splattery phaser vox that we know from tumor and urinefestival. Weird thing is the back of the CD says 10 songs but inside booklet talks about 11 track titles… pretty confusing but besides that NOOO complaints on there gorenoise side! If you like Tumour and Biocyst then you should check it out!! Total dutch sickness, noise and humor.

Intestinal Disgorge
Intestinal Disgorge doesn't give you a breather! Fucking high pitched 'bitchscream' the one's I really love from Intestinal Disgorge! Fucking sick! Then they do what they always do! They grind!!!! Grunts, Bitchscreams, High shrieks, pitshifted vocals ! Awhh man!! Fucking angry, hateful and chaotic! The drums are well programmed and have a nice tempo, guitar sound is really nice and low, bit distorted! Guitars sound grinding but also very groovy! I get a grindcore feel mixed with some hardcore and groove! Which is really nice! Instrumental wise it's more musical (compared to the rest maybe) but there vocals are one fucking chaos!! Totally love it! Again not female friendly material from these guys!! Bewareeeee….

Proctalgia
Now it's time for the last band for the last blow! They start out with some kind of talking/porn sample! Not sure what language and all but it sounds quite asian… no idea what's going on here!! The the blasting start! Drum computer that makes insane speeds but are also allot louder in the mix than the guitars! The snares really sound like hammers on pans at some points! Thats sick!! But behind the bit distorted fast drums is a thinner layer of distorted and low sounding guitar, you can actually here that they are actually playing riffs and such! But still sound bit towards gorenoise! Which is really good and sick! Definitely with this line up! But the most I like from Proctalgia are these vocals!! Fucking angry sounding ptishifted distorted vocals! This guy grunts the shit out of his lungs!! Sounds really pissed off! Kind of makes me think of stuff like LDOH vocals on 'Putrefaction in Progress' and Anal Birth vocals but then with their own touch! This things come kind of near but not enough (Just a suggestion you could think of if you are not familiar with Proctaliga). But due to the 'soft' guitar sound this band is the 'weakest' link for me! But still enjoyable/good to listen to!

Overall I must say this record is great in my opinion! If you dig brutal drum computer goregrind, gorenoise and just pure filthy chaos! Get this super sick slab of plastic! I have spoken!

LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY "Rest in Gore 1989-2006 " Digipack Double Cd
(Bones Brigade Records/Eyes of Terror)
Release date: 2007
Running time: 77:05 (Cd1) / 76:57 (Cd2)

Reviews: For allot of people just getting through a good lengthy goregrind record is a tough task but 2 complete discs full of goregrind madness? That's one heavy pill for them… especially when it's Last Days of Humanity!

Rest in Gore is 2 disc release neatly packaged in a digipack with some neat designed layout. Rest in Gore can be seen as some sort of farewell (or fuck off)/best of kind of thing. Well at that time then because while I'm writing this Last Days of Humanity is active again well at least on stage again! Rest in Gore collects the work by this band from their begin period 1989 till their end in 2006 (what a finally was that! Putrefaction in Progress… talking about pure blasting goregrind/noise rage!!!).

CD 1 starts with tracks from the final CD (yes they go from last to first release). Material is taken from every full length, MCD, Split, 7", Demo or tape this band has brought out and it is really great to hear it all. Mostly the only real 'change' is that of the sound/quality and line-up but over all Last Days of Humanity kept true to their nasty sound! Heavy distorted guitars and rumbling grinding bass, sick deep pitch shifted and angry/energetic sounding vocals and nice blast beats… pure fucking goregrind mayhem with some touches and influences taken from Death Metal and Crust/Grind bands. So CD 1 starts of with Putrefaction in progress and ends with the material from the Stoma split MCD, a track from the Impetigo tribute CD 'Wizards of Gore' and some unreleased tracks from 2000… which is always a treat! When you get a nice comp it's always good to find stuff you haven't heard yet!

CD 2 starts with tracks from the split with Cock and Ball torture and end with the tracks from their demos!! Which are really fun to hear because before this release I couldn't get a hold of their demo material so this was new to me to! And what a change!!! Last Days of Humanity initially started as a noisecore band with small improvised burst of chaos and anger like say Seven Minutes of Nausea and Sore throat (although 7mon might be closer to the whole idea)… And I don't think they even used a pit shifter but I'm not really sure about this!!!! Their second demo was more goregrind-ish but still with a noisecore/grind touch… probably would fall under the term 'gorenoise' today! This time using pitch shifters on the vocals… the sound is really chaotic/noisy grind and sounds like they couldn't handle their instruments back then, but still… I love it!

The quality of the songs are all great!! It totally blows away your speakers and the bit of skin you have on your face! Tear it clean off! The packaging off the CD I really like to! Not all goregrind releases have well executed artworks or slick packaging but this one does! If you fold open the CD you have disc 1 to your left, a nice thick booklet in the middle and 2 two to your right. The booklet starts with a small and very shortened story about the early days of LDoH. The pages after that have info from the release which the tracks are taken from! Complete with picture, track listing and line-up (Really needed since there where ALLOT of changes). The booklets also futures collages of band pictures and flyers from shows they played through the years, which is really cool and neat! Overall I must say this is a very satisfying release with enough info and material to get a proper few of the career of this (in my opinion) great goregrind band!!

ANAL WHORE/TUMOUR/URINEFESTIVAL Sickness³ Split Cd
(Divine Noise Entertainment)
Release date:
2006

Review: Beware lovers of extreme goregrind, perversity and gorenoise!! Because this one is right up your (back)ally!! This is one hell of heavy hitting perversity pressed unto plastic. There are 3 really sick bands on here…. One from Germany and two from the Netherlands!

Anal Whore
This disgusting split starts of with Anal Whore and well… my personal opinion… this is my favorite material from Andy (compared to the other material I've listened to)! Alright that said! Let's analyze this whore!
Every song starts off with a sample, mostly porn related/sampled… some are from other movies (like the first song). The songs are mostly short and blast your fucking face of! The drums are like, if someone bought a YAMAHA castling gun or something, the speeds are fucking insane and the drum sound is a bit thin but nicely present (not to much in the background and not to dominant). The guitars are really fast and ragging, you can hear that it isn't just random sliding, you can really hear the riffs being played but I can't still make out what exactly has been played. The vocals are totally sick too! A wish wash of boiling and bubbling blubber grunts! I think that these vocals are multilayered (different layers of the same vocals with other effects/pitch levels) and sound very thick!! The production of this is also done very well, all sounds are balanced and really mixed well! And this goes on for 20 tracks!! Good work andy!!! Nice way to start a CD!

Tumour - One body at the time..
After this german pervert we have dutch madman Rogore (Rogier Kuzee) with his project Tumour (This time as a 2 man piece!), one of my favorite dutch goregrind bands and also one of my favorites ever in the scene. Tumour hits us hard with 15 tracks varying in length between 20 seconds and a little over 2 minutes. Classic Tumour scenario! Songs have intro's take from horror movies, b-movies or regular movies and then go into the frenzy we know from Tumour! Blasting drum computer drums that slow down here and there for a nice rhythm or bit of groove, nice heavy guitars that have distinctive riffs that rock and grind, really catchy distorted sounding stuff! Tumour is know to describe their music (at least their later stuff) as 'Vomitorial Splatter Grind' and when you hear the vocals you know why! Man this stuff sounds sick, spluttery, blubbery, bubbling wet phaser/flanger vocals and gurgles! Something like a badly drain in a sink or something! Really smooth sounding!! Also Tumour has a great production, great balancing and mixing of sounds! Samples aren't to long and songs aren't to short to get frustrated or anything! Good work Rogore (and Matthew in this case)!!!
So far down the road i'm really satisfied with this great goregrind madness but we still have one more band to go!

Urinefestival - Clitorial Goulash/Yeast Attended with Cunnilingus.
If the other two bands weren't heavy and perverted enough goddamn here comes Urinefestival! A sick sick pornoisegore project from two ex-LDoH members Marc Palmen and Erwin de Wit! This stuff is just crazy as shit and doesn't even fall under the monicker goregrind! This is pure fucking noise!!! I told you about Anal Whore's drum computer right? Well this is even exceeding the speed limit at ponts! A well mixed, well balanced drum computer (little mechanical sounding) is blasting your fucking ears off for really seconds! Some songs are are even less than 10 seconds!!! It's sick!! The blasting drum machine get's accompanied by a thick layered sounding bass! This bass is so fucking low and distorted you don't know what they are doing, if they play riffs or just grind/slide the thing like a maniac! Occasionally here and there I hear something 'rhythmic' when the drums slow down a bit.. but… It's really really heavy sounding shit! The songs mostly start or have samples in them which are also teamed around porn, orgasms, emotophillia (vomiting) and urophillia (watersports, golden showers… for those who don't know what's going on!). The vocals are very very sick! You have two kinds really! One very liquid, spluttery vocals…. it sounds like smooth flowing liquids … it's sicker and smoother/liquifider than Tumour's vocals… also reminds me of flushing toilets, draining or running water, poring thicker liquids into glasses etc etc! (Get the picture?) Besides those vocals you have very deep pitched kind of belch/inhales … very hard to explain… a must hear! It just reminds me of slow belching with liquid or phlegm in the back of your throat… These two vocals really match and combine well together and creates some cool variation. The side from Urinefestival has a track count of 28 but sounds like just one big track with small pauses… here and there the blasting stops and there is time for some groove but overall it's just one big perverted and sexual deviant blur of insane machine drum driving porngorenoise!! Again this has an excellent production! This time great work Marc and Erwin!

All bands on this CD sound brutal in their own way and have great sound! I have no complaints on the mixing and mastering! The artwork is also nice and perverted… I leave that up to you as a nasty surprise when you buy it! So for the maniac who likes distorted downtrend sounds, blasting drum computers, utterly sick and 'experimental' vocals, perverted topics, sick samples, sexually deviant artwork and good packaging! Buy this sick slab of plastic!!!

TUMOUR "Goreaholic" Split Cd
(Klysma Records - Klysm004)
Release date:
2006
Running time: 69:45
Review:
I own a bunch of Tumour stuff in my own collection, most of them are CD's and 7" and are splits… Only got a few Tumour full lengths in my collection! And this is one of my favorites!!

Goreaholic standing for: 'Gastric Oozed Rejects Embalming Abhorrent Heaps of Liquified Innard Cataclysm' is a great CD. Releases by Klysma Records (super sick dutch label with great goregrind/gorenoise releases) and comes with lovely artwork! Drawings are super sick (as well as front cover as the 'band' drawing) and are done by the sicko Jake from Tales from Uranus comics! If you are familiar with his work you know what to expect! Totally sick! And the disc is really fucking green!! Which fits the concept of nausea after you hear this CD...

Here on this CD we have Tumour as a 2 man line-up! Rogore and Jordi making allot of cool racket. The sound on this CD is really good. Nice sounding drum computer, well in the mix. Nice down tuned distorted bass (not always though since some songs have really clean sounding bass) sound and a nice heavy distorted down tuned guitar. You really hear what is been played and it's really rocking and groovy!

Thats the first thing I noticed when listening to this CD that this is a nice rocking/groovy goregrind release and not just non-stop blasting goregrind or something like that. It's really nice to hear this! Nice tempo on the drums and nice grooves, rhythms, riffs and chunky bits of guitar.. there are even some 'solo' like parts!!!! Not really usual for goregrind really. And the trusted Tumour vocals are poured over it all! Nice liquified, bubbling, spluttery, splattering goregrind vocals! They keep on going! I love these gargles!

Song variation is good to! Some longer songs around 3/4 minutes, less lengthier songs about 1/2 minutes and some really short ones! Again use of samples from horror/gore and b-movies (nothing new there really). Song titles are mixed, some are dutch but most are in english and what the fuck? Song 4 on this CD called 'T Brute Liquihelmus' is actually a goregrind version of our national anthem… guitars, drum computer, horror samples but no vocals! If you are dutch this is really amusing to hear!

So in a nutshell if you love Tumourbut want a tad different from the usual goregrind or Tumour material then go and listen to this. Even the short songs don't have raging blasts and everything is just on a good tempo and rocking the shit out of you! With a good sound production, mixing and leveling! Well done job Jordi and Rogier! Totally sick!

So in a nutshell if you love Tumour but want a tad different from the usual goregrind or Tumour material then go and listen to this. Even the short songs don't have raging blasts and everything is just on a good tempo and rocking the shit out of you! With a good sound production, mixing and leveling! Well done job Jordi and Rogier! Totally sick!
