 Review: Right away that's what I'd call a memorable band name! "Bowl of Fuck" could have been good too. Anyway, there's an excellent new Czech grind band, with former members from D.E.o.A.G. and a few other sick bands (look it up!) These guys' main influence seems to be 2000's era Regurgitate. The vocalist employs an equal amount of distorted screams and pitch-shifter grunts... The effects are nothing too disgusting or ridiculous-sounding (it never goes into pig-squealing extremities), just very low and rattling in a good old RGTE way, which can still qualify as goregrind vocals (why not?), personally I still enjoy gurgling pitch-shifts more than normal growls anytime, if they're not too exaggerated... Definitely solid riffage, catchy in a straightforward and grinding way; and song-writing is definitely paid attention to despite being quite basic, this band surely knows how to write a catchy grind tune. Sound production is gut-churningly heavy in a pretty mastodonic way, with a distinctively low-tuned guitar tone as thick as a wall and a crushing drum sound, all of which reminds me of polish bands like Squash Bowels/Neuropathia alot... The second track on this promo also has a strange, unnatural, kind-of vibrating guitar tone but it might be an intentional effect since it's really the only song that sounds this way. Yeah, the band also shares similarities with some of Nasum's signature breakdown kind of hooks and such... But the main objective here seems to be fast, blasting and heavy grindcore, pretty much the way I like it! Lyrically the track titles don't always make a whole lot of sense but who cares this is brutal grind designed to kick ass or fuck your bowels or whatever! The band is already planning a full length album that should be coming out on Bizarre Leprous releases next year which is definitely something to look forward to!
